Despite the horrible weather there is a game at the Maz tonight featuring our U18's v Wrexham U18s in the Youth Cup.

Tickets still on sale up until kick off at 7pm.

A chance to support our future first team squad members..... :)

Saturday 8th November 1980.

43 years ago next week.

Morecambe 4 Tamworth 0.

Attendance:

148

Yes, that's one-hundred and forty-eight.

81 more people watched Morecambe U18's playing midweek, than watched Morecambe first team on a Saturday afternoon. If we even need to remember how far we've come!

A good fair report. Only downside was the last line where it says the match was played in Lancaster ! :o

   I'm guessing he meant to say 'Lancashire', but being from Wales, English may not be his first language!

And our own website has a series of photos for this Youth Team Cup match. Much the same as we get for any First Team games, EXCEPT .......................... there are an incredible 139 photos to look at.

Not complaining, and I guess that many of the youth team players will treasure some of these photos in the future (and good for them). Just wondering - is there some reason why we never get anything like that number from the first team games?

Anyway, a great group of lads and all the people associated with the U.18's. Doing themselves and the club proud.
