It was a corner, cheap one given away by Rawson.

Nighmare second half. If we'd attacked, instead of trying to sit on a 0-1, we'd probably have scored five. Instead, we couldn't defend and stopped attacking too.

It was on the cards in the first half that they would score. We seemed to be playing as if it was a forgone conclusion that we would win. The changes at halftime were a mystery, was the idea to defend a 0-1 lead? It went downhill after that as we just couldn’t get out of our own half.
It was a game we should have won, I just hope that we can bounce back against higher opposition.

Hopefully looking for an emergency loan singing if first choice Keeper Stuart Moore is going to be out for up to 4 months.

Derek said the changes were because we knew there would be a lot of high balls in to the area. He also basically said, we were beaten by the better side.

We were hoping for a bounce-back after the Barrow game, but didn't get it. Grimsby looked decent going forwards, but poor at the back. We were hoofing the ball too much in response. I'd rather have seen Bloxham stay on the pitch, and feed him more in the second half.

Were we over-achieving? Confidence was high? We need to get back to playing the ball to feet (at one point, there were about eight headers, back and forth, and way too many aimless thumps in to the air). It's still been a fantastic start to the season, but we need to put this & Barrow behind us, quickly.

I don't know how other sides have made emergency goalkeeper signings, but I don't think we can, as Smith is available, first team squad player. We can only sign a free agent.

I don't think Smith is that bad. Don't forget, even though he was at fault for the first goal, he made two terrific saves.

Sadly I think the goalkeeper is costing us. At Barrow he got both hands to the ball but it still went in. Yesterday his failure to catch the ball cost us the first goal but more than that it gave Grimsby the impetus and belief to press on. It's true he later made a couple of good saves but the damage had already been done. I would like to bet that the first player brought in in January is a keeper.

The fact is that if a defender makes an error they usually get away with it but if a keeper does he doesn't.
I still don't understand DA subbing Bloxham at half time with only a one goal lead. I can understand that he wanted Rawson on for his heading ability but why take off someone who creates chances?
