Lack of match fitness, he won't of played in ages, hence him leaving Cyprus .
redrobo wrote:GB in his pre match v Walsall interview (see OWS) confirmed that Brandon Barker has a hamstring injury that he picked up on Friday during training and that he was due to be on the team sheet v Crawley.
Think I'm right in saying that hamstring injuries to footballers are due in certain cases to a lack of match / training fitness.
Not sure how a medical would have picked up the possibility of such an injury.
At this stage GB unsure how serious the injury is and therefore unable to give time span for Brandon to recover.
It wouldn't pick up a 'possible' hamstring injury. I hadn't listened to Ged's interview before I posted.
An article on hamstring injuries. Evidently one of the most common injury to footballers
