Rod said in his Radio Lancs interview there was quite a few candidates for the managers job already

Football is a different job too most...we will get a manager I'm hoping for an experienced one

As usual Nixon is incorrect as Jimmy Bell has been appointed manager at Clitheroe....

Is that Alan Nixon the self proclaimed king of football gossip? Let me get this right, he makes a living out of this!!! Is that really true? Phuggghhh, I give up, I truly do.

I would assume the incoming manager would also meet the owner to thrash out his playing budget and what his vision for the club is, we knw he wants to sell but the new manager will want assurances of what’s happening
Which could be a stumbling block if the answers aren’t right it could put potential managers off

I would think news about the Embargo being lifted will precede a new manager being publicly appointed but I think someone will be pencilled in the position.

Any news about anything would be good at the moment. I was thinking there might be something after the bank hol weekend maybe the EFL would then sign off these contracts but the longer there is silence the more worrying it gets, is that another week no progress on the Vat issue and still no budget sorted. How many weeks need to go by before we need to start panicking.

Swindon fans are expecting Derek to take over. A mixed reception but not everybody knows what they are talking about.

Totally agree with BerlinWaller - If Derek goes to Swindon they will do far better than this season for sure

Player manager anybody OR is it best in EFL2 to have a manager in the dug out directing play as he or she seems fit.

Surprised that the rumour mill hasn't started.....and NO I haven't a clue who is on a short list or has even applied.

Until a budget is agreed I can't see anyone taking the job without some cast iron assurances from the owner.....BUT even then the owner is unlikely to stick to his word.
