Spoke to the Centre manager and he said that with money from the cafe which is part of the complex they average after expenses of circa £1000 clear per week....more when it is school holidays.
Thought that if the current Tyson Gym ever became available and with some major internal alterations what a superb cash cow such a facility for the local children would be for our club.
Not sure if there is something similar in the town but if funding ever became available what a beneficial asset for our club and the towns children it could prove to be.
If monies were available the unused land adjacent to the Hurley pub could be developed to include an indoor recuperation, fitness and wellness centre for the club in addition to a soft play centre as described above.
The new owners of Carlisle FC have invested £8 million in new infrastructure at their club. Just imagine if we got an owner prepared to invest say £5 million into our clubs infrastructure...what could be.....
