Looks like shrimper has been on their site and warned them all about the weather! hope it doesn't put any of them off!

Seriously chaps I would really urge everyone who can to check before setting off. It's been raining all day here and the forecast is for more to come. The pitch does drain very well and quickly so if we can get just a few hours without the clouds it will be fine but we'd hate you to have another wasted trip.

Well where's Shrimper when you need him?

He should look at our forecast (as previously posted http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/ ... st/#no_url ) and tell 'em there's nowt to worry about. They might even need their sunglasses. This is Morecambe were talking about. 8-)

Tchoh! - talk about selective quoting!

Here's the rest:

The pitch does drain very well and quickly so if we can get just a few hours without the clouds it will be fine but we'd hate you to have another wasted trip.

Obviously your website will keep up to date but our club will also have news on 01524 411797.

If it does survive the weather it should be a cracker. You lot are obviously repaying my faith (had a nice tickle on you at 25/1) and we've been improving over the past couple of weeks.
The defeats to Bury and Daggers (two good sides this season) were very narrow ones and we'll be more confident after the game at Oldham in midweek.
We've brought in a lot of new players and Sammy has taken a while to get them into the right formation, to be honest.
But we look to be getting there (and that will probably include the reintroduction of Drummy, who scored and did well at Oldham).
And I think I'm right in saying we've had the longest run of anyone in the League since a clean sheet - so there should be at least something for you to cheer (even if it's only a consolation!)"

...and it depends which forecast you read but there is rain about tomorrow as well
(Lancaster and Heysham both show the same - didn't seem to have 'Morecambe'.

I don't know, you try to help.......mutter mumble mutter

Is the glass half full or half empty? Mmmm? hard to say - but it does look like there's room for more beer!

I don't know what the weather is like in the Land of Morec.... but up here int' 'ills of Cumbria it's *issing down like never before.

I somehow suspect that the game could be in doubt if it keeps on like it is...particularly as the weather forecast for tomorrow morning and afternoon is bad!

Let's hope that we have an early pitch inspection if the club feel it necessary.

That was the Darlo match;

But it was really heavy persistant rain for the hour leading upto the match that caused the problem, the pitch was just suddenly inundated with water in a short space of time. There was a strip on the Main stand side where they could have had a game of water polo

Im sure tomorrow will be fine so any Shrews worrying about the weather - don't! and get yourselves down to Christie.

I am still optimistic for the game to be on, although since I posted this morning the North West forecast has now been changed to rain over-night and Sat. morning. Forecast is clear from mid-day though, with a breeze to dry things up http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/ ... st/#no_url

Mick, keep wellies, fork and shades handy!

Look at how much rain it has put down though the last two nights.

Fair enough, but I hope the Ref also takes note of the forecast then, as it presently gives it dry and breezy from about 11:00am / 12.00 noon onward
