I suppose we should be thankful that the club have issued a statement about replica kits. However I personally find the excuse given to the club by JB Sports to be non specific and I suspect that it has been down to Cabrini having seen an increase in their business which was unexpected and a result an existing client(s) has had to wait for its order.

I wonder if any other club has had similar issues.... :?: :?: :?:

I think their Club Statement is word for word the same as ours

Let's hope that our club has a similar 'get out clause' with JD Sport as Walsall and that we act on it for next season.

PMcG with his wealth of experience at both Reebok and Bench will be fully aware of the need to keep the goodwill of its buying public at all times, something that I'm afraid JD Sport and Carboni have failed to do so.

Despite our low order numbers in comparison to other clubs our business should be treated in just the same way as it would be if we were a larger club.

We are currently planning to wear our 16/17 AWAY kit for the first time versus Accrington Stanley on August 27th.

If this is true, there could be some embarrassment on Tuesday...

I took that to mean that we will be wearing one of the 15/16 away kits....

This is an absolute farse.

You'd hope they know what they're doing and make it clear, to save smart arses like myself picking up on these things!

Sounds like trouble at the JD Sports sweatshop  Not totally surprising when you look at their ethical record:

Club better be compensated for this mess, and this passed on to fans as a goodwill gesture.

I reckon we've lost a load of money in this farce on Carbrini's part.

How many fans would have bought merchandise for holidays?

How many fans would have bought merchandise when picking up season tickets?

Or attending pre season games??

Loads.

A spokesperson for JD Football said: “The kits and training wear were on schedule for sale pre-season however due to certain circumstances there is a regrettable delay. We would like to thank the fans for their patience and understanding.”

What a non-statement! "Due to certain circumstances"? Everything is due to certain circumstances, the statement should explain what the circumstances are. And thanking fans? How about apologising to fans?

Well they've missed out on my daughters birthday present (yeah I know) so that'll be 40 quid before we've started. Seems little point getting a shirt with 3 on it 3 weeks after the event!

Its yet another financial disaster to hit the club following on from losing to Dagenham in the FA Cup , losing our Boxing Day home match to the weather , playing Pompey on a January Tuesday night etc etc.

Normally I would have bought both new shirts by now (£72 after season ticket discount) I will still buy the home shirt though but I would think many will give it a miss with them being so late.

You can add me to this list, my son will now be without a shirt for his birthday.

If he's any sense, talking to someone, possibly lawyers, about getting a partial refund on his sponsorship. His contract's with MFC, so they'll have to take out their own action against JD Sports/Carbrini to cover whatever loss they incur.

Anyone who would like to reserve their 16/17 HOME or AWAY replica shirt may do so by going to the CLUB SHOP and pre-paying

and they want our cash before the shirts arrive
surely you should just be able to order it and perhaps pay a deposit

Considering they're usually less than half price by Springtime, I doubt there'll be any need to reserve anything!
