Transfer day

Postby glagys » Sat Feb 01, 2020 2:34 pm

So did we let any players go out yesterday ??
Or will we be loaning them out when/if the loan window opens ?
I never heard of any leaving and there seems to be quite a few that don't figure in DA's plans

If fans on here think we have a big squad then take a look at Stevenage site

They currently have a squad of 42 players

Thought a host of players were always rumoured to be going to Fylde? They need some help. I still don’t understand Jim going there, it was never going to work for him.

The National League do not have a transfer windows deadline so maybe some of our lads will move on to Afc Fylde or elsewhere now that they know their chances of an EFL team gone.

However wouldn't be surprised if tutte stays put just to rub his dislike for our manager and I suspect club into our faces.

JB is once again in a battle against relegation but unlike our club where our board backed him season in season out I doubt the AFC owner will be so tolerant when faced with relegation. I hope that it works out for him but it is looking bleak, game after game.

What Jim would give to have Dereks target of 91st in the league is a success eh?

Where is the evidence for such a stupid and disrespectful statement towards the management of DA.

JB has his own battles yet again at AFC whereas DA has improved our style and all respect to how he has rebuilt the team in such a short period.

Also all credit to the Board who have obviously backed DA with extra finance. Doubt that would have happened under the former manager.

There's only 91 clubs so we are aiming at 90th !

If Jim hadn't left a team that defended like Fred Karno's circus and without a home win in 8 matches maybe we would be aiming higher.

I think we will finish about 16th for what its worth.

No disrespect but Boreham Wood were crap today. Bentley has made things worse. Taking Houghton off? Kosylo on. There's a reason Morecambe have improved after he left. Fraud. Still, National League North means shorter trips away

To think that he turned down the Oldham job, in which case he wouldn't be getting a mention on here, because he'd be higher in the table ;)

He just got a Vanarama coat 6 months earlier by joining Fylde. You can not compare the jobs DA and Jim have done at their new clubs. Got some nibbles a bit quicker than I thought there

Do we know that for a fact?

We're saving Ken and Lee's wages, we're now saving Lewis's wage, and presumably his insurance will have come through so we're saving Flemmo's wages. 4 wages saved. Boardwalk are sponsoring one of the new players, most are on loan, Derek still hoping to loan a few out. Sounds like a very similar position to me, and the same kind of work that Jim did in the January window. Not sure there are any signs that Derek has been given much (if any) more money.

Yes , I would concur with that. I would think Burnley have been very fair in respect of the loan fees for their 2 players. If Fleming's injury has been verified by the Insurance Company then that will be a quite decent wage saved. Alessandra will also have been on a decent salary. It does seem as though DA would like Kev to move on which again would be a decent wage saving but I would have liked to see the fans give him a good send off and a thank you for the 9 years and nearly 100 goals which makes him a legend for me.
That leaves Tutte and Buxton , am I right in thinking they could be loaned or moved on to a Conference club or do they also have a "window".

National League don't have the same window. Now is Jims chance to come and rescue the careers of Tutte and Buxton, if he still rates them. Fylde could do with a boost! I won't hold my breath on that one though!

Buxton would do a very good job for Jim, Buxton did very well for Tranmere in the conference at that level.

From the stuff I have read on Twitter from the Fylde fans, I think they would expect better signings than our cast offs.

We have got to January and found ourselves in a serious relegation battle. I’d like to think that the board would provide the necessary funds to save us from relegation, whoever the manager is.

Carlisle took a chance on your so called 'cast off' and they're seemingly delighted.............This
from a club far Bigger than both Morecambe & Fylde
