O/T Ryder Cup

O/T Ryder Cup

Postby outsider » Sun Oct 03, 2010 12:50 pm

Even tho they are Welsh, I do feel sorry for the Celtic Manor organisers.
10 years planning and then all this rain   , But looking at it now the groudsmen have done a great job.

It's the fault of the planners. Anyone could tell you it's likely to rain in Wales in October!

Next time the Ryder Cup is hosted by Europe it takes place at Gleneagles in October 2014,so the weather could be tricky again, but that may be the last ever in Britain, as from 2018 onwards, Spain, France, Germany and Portugal are all itching to stage the event.

I predicted a four point win for us after Fat Knackers on Thursday.

Yes, all to do with the risk of poor weather, but we all know that the real problem is the USPGA Fedex Cup which they throw in at the end of the season, therefore it puts the Ryder Cup back a couple of weeks.
I think the Ryder Cup should always be played in September, yes, it can still rain, but it increases the chance of drier weather as well. Obviously the attractions of Portugal and Spain are to do with the almost guaranteed sunshine even in October.

Mickelson looks like he wants a hug off his wife to join Screws bury for the morecambe game this weekend.

Woods Must be missing all those women all 30 of them rubbish woods future is Kaymer and Mcilroy.

All the others I know nothing on them sorry on Europe i know alot just i do not watch alot of USA golf due to the timing of the tournaments at night.
Where in Europe I can watch it on Sunday afternoon seeing a winner

Different post I got a feeling this will be tight no good for usa because they need early pressure hoping the fans (europe will be unhappy

Mahan "duffs" it

McDowell misses

Mahan concedes :D

When Hunter Mahan duffed that chip, all the club golfers in the world, myself included, who butcher well kept golf courses for fun, all went "aaaahhhh, it's not just me then". It was still a choker for the lad though & I bet he doesn't get a good nights kip for a while.
