I suspect he doesn't care. We've gone from a plan where it was all about off the field revenue making the club break even (which never worked anyway) to an owner who has alternative ways of doing things and isn't relying on any income from the corporate side of things to keep the club running.

I know the fit and proper test is a joke and anyone can pass it but surley the EFL have to stop this.

Thats my only hope, seriously if this guy takes over I don't know if I even want to go to the Globe again :(

Let him spend, work out the %ages later. Who says he's doing away with it? I read it as concentrate on the football, not the functions but that doesn't mean stop them but, perhaps, redirect staff's attentions :roll:

This is merely my opinion but since lots of people have them today one more isn't going to hurt;

I think the 90% thing is a flippant number. There will be over heads to cover bring that number down. I think his point is he won't want to have hospitality outside of football. It would worry anyone booking wedding right now anyway especially if they have read the news regarding pending administration and ownership issues so I would imagine people have been staying away from that more than normal.

I don't want to worry people and I'm only speculating but if he does take over I think he will be planning to go back to a game day operational model rather than 7 day business which was PMG's aim!

Either way I don't know how I feel about his interview. It didn't fill me with confidence. To me it sounded like he knows he isn't going to get the fa approval required to buy the club. The entire thing is a mess and I don't think anyone is telling the truth.

Good. We are a football club. Functions should be an add on. Not the other way round like this club.

Then we may as well of stayed at Christie Park...

oh, hang on...

We need both to be well run. What's going to happen to that space? Just leave it to rot?

Yes we need both but the football should come first.

Supermarkets offer add ons like insurance, loans etc but their core business is Groceries. Should they forget about the food customers experience, deals and needs and concentrate on the loan interest products where they might make a lot of money? No.

I find it a little odd (maybe I'm missing something here?) but, when you look at the website, the main core of their business, the thing it seems to specialize in is...... hospitality.
After all 'The company commerce is hospitality.'
I'd have thought that they'd be able to sort out MFC hospitality & goings on in their sleep?
