It's the manner of the defeats. Lack of work rate/closing down. We started positively in the games at Coventry and Crewe but this lasted no longer than 15 minutes then we crumbled. The fans who attended those fixtures were very supportive of the players but this won't always be the case. At the moment the players aren't matching the passion of the supporters.

I think you'd have to ask the players that!

Think that it might have something to do with not getting paid on time, playing half fit, players being sold, worrying about your wages and the minute we go a goal down, a load of booing, shouting, screaming and balling from the posh seats?

How about we give a shit, give them a song if we go behind and back them. They might just get that extra 10% we need.

I guarantee you, if we can just get a result on Saturday, and take that going forward, December will be a much better month.

Why don't you do that then? You're the ones questioning it. They're all on twitter. Be a big man and ask.

Teams like Morecambe - you have your opinion and thats fine

You say its likely 'he will relegate us'. In my opinion it smore like '..he will be the manager unfortunate enough to have been in charge when the club got itself into this mess..'.

I think if we do get relegated it will be despite his efforts over the past two or three seasons (when we've been in a financial downfall with no serious investment) not because of them.

Don't know any of the circumstances like others why we the club is skint but fans new & old won't have helped not turning up because of crap football being served. Unless we play to our best & not just the odd few matches then people won't turn up with also christmas round the corner. Things need to work both ways to win the supporters back we have lost. Unless we ask the fans we have lost by doing a short survey online we won't know the truth to the answer, why we have had shocking attendances. We need new ideas to win back the fans we have lost & not expect them just to turn up & fork out £20 each for the hell of it. Also old & new coming to the meeting on Thursday having your say will hopefully help to improve things at the Globe.

how would you feel if you were having your name plastered over this form after every match saying you and half your fellow players were shit and the club should get rid especially at every home match ,i bet they go into home matches just waiting for it all to start ,give them a break and lay off the hollering and abuse and try encouragement , no wonder they want to get rid of the ball as son as they get it passed to them

I think this is a stupid thread with a ridiculous title and it's almost ironic that the 'positive' people who reply end up bouncing it to the top of the board again.

But I think the players & Jim actually get relatively low level abuse/grief during the match, certainly compared to many clubs, where they'd be getting eaten alive. Clearly confidence is entirely drained and yes, some players look like the ball is a hot potato to be got rid of as quickly as possible, but there's a lot more going on than the fans.

And if I was in Jim's position, I'd tell all the players not to come on here in the first place, and follow my own advice!!!

So how did that work out then?

Blimey Mr Bentley could be the first manager to be relegated in our history but it's not his fault!!!! The support has halved under his tenure, not his fault! PMG was lauded when he stood up and said "football league, new ground" Everybody happy while it went up, now in a spiral hes a demon destroyer! Unbelievable clap-trap. Most of the supporters never really believed we would become a football league side...it happened we are here. The last couple of seasons have seen some awful matches at home and that is contributing to our finances, less fans less pie eaters= less money. Our manager has to take the blame for how the team performs on the pitch. It's his team selection, his formation, his tactics. We can't just say Jim is amazing, super, smashing great and the board and chairman (past, present) are totally to blame! I have supported Morecambe for donkeys years and will still do so whatever league we are in.

weather you are pro, or anti Jim, you have to agree, his appointment was ''on the cheap'' anyway, after a first season in the new ground attendances were allways going to fall away , we were never in any danger of achieving 2400 a match to break even, we have always had poor support , and a poor transfer kitty as a result.

Our finances have been reduced five seasons on the bounce in the summer before a ball has been kicked and a player been signed.
So while he is responsible for the signings he has to cut his cloth accordingly.

Performances have been crap, we all know that and agree!
We are here now, today and we need to get out of this mess!

every thread turns the same nowadays, people just repeating themselves , not aimed at anyone in particular, I can be just as guilty.

I'm pro Bentley but you cannot arguevwith the maths, PMG was frustrated from the first season onwards at the globe, and then tried year after year to tighten the purse strings ,but expect miracles, hoping for a buyer, not jims fault one bit.

Does anyone actually have concrete evidence this is the truth? And if so, by how much was our budget reduced and how did this compare to our L2 rivals? I seem to remember PMG coming out and saying there would be an increased budget the following season after we beat AFC Wimbledon away? Also, were these budget reductions inline with the dropping crowds season on season?

It is an excuse to gloss over the fact Jim Bentley has halved our fan base and some won't come back until he is gone.

If they are not fans of the football club and choose to only support sides that are winning there is nothing that can be done about that

10 years ago Thomson, Carlton, Bentley, Adams, Jesus, Curtis, Stanners & Co. worked their bollocks off to get us where we are today.
Forest Green, Tranmere, Lincoln, Wrexham, Chester, Torquay, York and others are all waiting to pinch our space.
It is time to get a grip of this situation, stop feeling sorry for ourselves, get some grit and passion.. get out on that pitch, show some endeavour, pass the fckin ball and start winning football matches
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think
