It is - and should be renamed as soon as possible.

It's a supporters fan bar, not the golf club (as I've said a few times in the past)

Rename it after a club legend (Charlie? Clarrie? Plenty of choice. JB's Bar even???) and give the place a bit more of a link to where we have come from and one supporters can associate with.

Does anyone have Derek Acorah's number?

Maybe him and his spiritual sidekick, Sam, can enlighten us

It used to be at the left hand side of the bar, maybe still is?

Lady C's would be more appropriate, she would get on well with the locals

Hopefully, at the same time, try to celebrate JBC by naming a stand "The JBC Stand" or "The Christie Stand". How about renaming the PMG as presumably it's not bringing in any name/sponsorship revenue?[/quote]

excellent idea, Mr.Christie should have been on the main stand

Anything to do with Christie Park was binned or sold to the fans, can't think of anything we have now that refers to our history before Wembley other than Sir Kens plaque.
Noticed the sign in the Lord Nelson last week which made me smile

There's that infamous story about Barry Fry, while he was the manager at Birmingham. They believed the stadium was cursed and they found the way to remedy that was for Barry to pee in all four corners of the pitch. He had to do it in one go, holding it in as he ran around. Took him a few attempts and a bit of practice but results actually improved afterwards.
Maybe something for Jim to think about.

The bar could be renamed JB"s Legends bar, walls full of memorabilia , real, Morecambe FC history, not just a big mural of 'Eric Luton''.

The Irving Inn , after one of our legendary midfielders who played in the team that won 3 trophies in a season including the Lancashire Senior Cup after which he was on the management team at Wembley against Dartford.

It is for you John, for some reason you really dislike him, In some ways he's a lot like Ali out of the ring , unpopular because he's a traveller, but he's certainly putting this town back on the map.

its more or less been confirmed on the BBC N/W News and ITV Granada are all referring him to being a local from Manchester, and went back to his first boxing club where he grew up(in Manchester), and to be right in the summer you often see him in a Man United top.

John McGuiness Morecambe born n bread will in time have a statue, I don't think we can justify calling Fury a true Morecambe Lad.

By the time he has paid the taxman, the tour party, the hangers on and his wife's Christmas present list he will only have enough to buy the PMG stand

Apart from in the local press and on here, I've never heard "Morecambe" mentioned in association with him. Whereas John McGuinness & Morecambe are mentioned together all the time. He's even nicknamed The Morecambe Missile.
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?
