The defence is looking a lot better than last season already.

If we can sign an experienced 6 foot 2 inch defender that knows how to mark people we will have the defence pretty much signed up.

I'm 6 foot 2 and at 48 have lots of experience, though sadly not in football. Will I do? I'm self-employed so wouldn't need a full time wage, though the knackered right knee that means I can't actually run might be a problem.

I told everyone about this weeks ago just after winnard signed. I've just got back from France that's why I haven't been on much the last couple of weeks. Let's hope there's a few more to announce in the next few weeks !

According to the Accy site he's been training with them BUT that doesn't mean that he will not be coming our way however it must be viewed as being doubtful.

Delighted he's back because for me he showed that he possess something that we've been missing for years...a physical presence up front.

Now if we could find a real bastard in midfield of over 6' and a speedy winger I'D BE A HAPPY BUNNY....

One player who I'd liked to have on board has just joined Tranmere, a speed merchant who scored 21 goals for Chorley last season a certain Stephenson BUT Tranmere have paid money for him so he was probably not on our 'probable' sheet.

Good to see that KS is back on the wall even though he can't count..... However his 'real' identity is unknown...

His contract with tranmere expires in July 17, if he has a good six months with us they will offer him an improved contract , and we'd have to give them some money if we wanted to keep him, if not then he will probably go back to them till the end of tbe season and he would then probably be released, good business move by Tranmere.

Welcome Cole (again).

Given our financial situation, I think this is a decent signing. Strong lad who can compete with Mullin at centre forward.

Just a fast winger and a commanding centre back and the bones of a competitive squad will be in place.
