I thought that was going to be an updated statement then....!!

I should have known better (as Jim Diamond once sang) !!

Sadly not but I would hope that a new announcement will be posted this afternoon.

I was just re-reading his statement to see if there were any hopeful clues !!!!!!!!!!!!

The lads will all be free to go if wages aren't paid on Friday, several players are apparently debating going on strike untill it gets sorted !

Bloody hope not.

Well Graham and his team are still soldiering on preparing pies for tonight despite everything going on: https://twitter.com/grahamaimson/status/796308495150841856

At least we have money for ingredients! If we get our food on account, how long before suppliers see we can't pay wages and therefore can't pay them!

Can't help feeling we've been had

The club was for sale for a long time. The directors had ample opportunity to buy the club, and for whatever reason, didn't.

PMG wanted too much for it , and in the meantime losses have mounted since he announced it was for sale.

I've come up with an idea to help with the wages
Make a donation through the FCOM website via the membership section. Just enter Staff wages where it says address.
Waiting for the go ahead from Paul Carter

Even if this gets sorted it is going to make signing decent players hard for a long time.

There's no way I'd be turning up if I hadn't have been paid.

I am not getting out of work until gone 6 (so I wouldn't get there until gone8) other wise I'd be rattling buckets for their expenses.

The club and the players need us more than ever.

I don't think this excuses the disgusting way all the staff at the club have been treat by a couple of bickering millionaires.

Jim's been on the radio saying the wages are due on Monday.
It seem Jack Dunns return was 'more to do with us' than Liverpool

Was that in reply to a question Mark? (No pun intended!) It's just a bit of an odd thing to say if he wasn't asked about wages and a bit of an half answer if he was! Sounds as if he doesn't know whether they WILL be paid.

Well nothing was black or white (no pun intended either). He wasn't asked when directly, but the whole issue of not being paid last month and players leaving was the topic. As you know, Jim doesn't need a direct question to start talking for 5 minutes.
The interviewer actually openly said it on 8m 30

Jim sounded far from convinced about our ''bright future'' to me.
