Cole Stockton will not sign a new contract?

Jack was an idiot anyway signing for a struggling club that already had 5 strikers ahead of him. Injuries or not he wouldn't have made their team.

When he was here, there was constant talk of him moving on to other clubs. He clearly wasn't content to be at Morecambe and it was a surprise he didn't move on sooner. We want committed players who want to play here, not someone who's always looking for a move. Even on the pitch, there were times when he clearly couldn't be bothered and was just stood around waiting for the perfect pass.

Not sure he's up to dealing with the huge centre backs that most L2 teams have these days with him not being strong nor tall. For me, he's a "luxury" player against specific opponents rather than a general striker who can play anyone. Maybe a good impact sub? I can't see we have the money to pay for him unless Jim can get him on some kind of "per game" contract for just a season to get his fitness back and put himself back in the shop window after his disastrous season.

How can you be so sure?

That's my opinion, he'll come back on trial see how he goes and if he goes a few weeks without getting injured then we'll sign him

Ahh, so "in your opinion" he "will" be back. That clears it up nicely! For a moment there I thought you might know something we don't, yet be too selfish to share it with your fellow fans...

A player who is capable of producing a bit of magic and winning games on a free with all the bargaining in our favour? Never his biggest fan but sounds like a no brainer to me. Same goes for Thommo, I am sure he will be realistic with his wage demands and would be a welcome addition.

Some Hearts fans don't seem to be too impressed with this probability stating that in their opinion there are far better young players including strikers being released by fellow Scot clubs who only need a bit of guidance and coaching to make the grade both North and South of the Border.

Maybe we should be casting our net a wee bit further than the North West and give some of these players a chance to impress in pre season training aand games.

Wouldn't be the first ime we've looked to Scotland for talent ie Gerry Irvine being a good example.

Seem to recall we had a young former Celtic striker on our books once.

So pleased for Cole.

Despite my criticism of Jimbo about style and substance there can be no doubt about his ability to find raw talent that has progressed to better things after a period of loan with our great club.

I'd like to think that his success in nurturing raw talent into successful players will continue to be recognised both by other clubs from higher levels than League 2 and by the players themselves who i hope will look at our club as a stepping stone to better things in their short careers as pro footballers.

Some 'youngsters' will only look at the 'bucks' to be earned NOW whilst others will take a longer view and realise that they need to learn about their trade with the financial rewards to follow...and where better than with MFC..... :?: :?: :?:

Gerry was signed by Ken Waterhouse from Queen of the South I seem to recall but can't remember what Scottish division they played in at the time.

Also I think JImbo signed a Scottish midfielder a number of seasons ago... :?: :?: :?:

Justin Jackson and Jamie McGowan both had Scottish clubs and were both brought to the club by George Norrie.
