First two names I glanced at on that list were Carl Dale and Chris Camden.

Both were absolute thorns in our sides playing for Bangor City and Marine respectively.

Back in the day, Gerry Irving was a class act: he was relatively small and slight for a centre half but he made the game look easy and should have been playing at a much higher level. Recent players: Wayne Curtis without a doubt and Danny Carlton of course. But I voted for the best footballer I have ever seen in non-League football, let alone in a Morecambe shirt: the late, great Charlie Lea. He'll go down in history; scores more goals than Summerbee; Cha Cha Cha Cha Charlie Lea!

Talking of Mike Summerbee, didn't he play in the northern premier league for Mossley or somebody?

And who was that prolific scorer for Stafford in the early 70s - a Maths teacher as I recall?
