They hopefully have a closer affinity with the Board than the basic fan after all.

Why should the Trust have to drag info from the board? If there's anything that can be said, the board should be saying it direct, assuming G50 tell them what's going on.

Totally agree but communication between fans and the Board was supposed to have got better with the creation of the Trust.

Hmmm, undersea world at Dalian ? I've actually been there, it used to be called Port Arthur years ago when it was a Russian city. Beautiful place, and the people just seemed so sensible ......

I think I heard Graham Burnard on radio Lancashire earlier, saying they had not been approached or contacted and he thought the whole thing was a wind-up. ("I think" because I was in a shop and it was on a tinny tannoy)

Did anybody else hear?

Why do you all think the board owe you an explanation about a non story ?

However I am weirdly fascinated by the detail and persistance that JoeJosephCala's twitter account shows, when relating to the bay, the town and the football club. If it is him then it requires considerable commitment to maintain this presence, if it's not him then that's equally bemusing

He has 2 hanger's on. One a north east based bloke called Williams and the other is an agent called Di Stefano. I suspect that Williams is doing the posts on behalf of Cala. If it is a wind up, fair play to the people behind it.

I am speaking for myself, and I think one or two of you are being paranoid, and it's funny , I am particularly happy that it's actually upsetting for 2 people in particular, at the end of the day it's just a game, and there are far more important things to worry about than football, this town doesn't even deserve a league team.

Well that's a very positive interview from Graham Burnard. I think we have to take it at face value.

There is a comment on Radio lancs Twitter from Cala's agent friend(son of a convicted fraudster) saying that he(Cala) is 100% not interested in buying the club with the current BoD's still in place. I am sure 848-848 Taxi's and The Midland hotel's security team are as gutted as we are.

When G50 first got involved Mr Burnard sounded rather media shy and was not that forthcoming with info that gave fans optimism going forward.

However his latest radio interview sounds completely different. A far more upbeat and confident Mr Burnard able to give the fans some reassuring news about the club and its current position. Of course it could be a case of smoke and mirrors but I for one prefer to look at the interview as one of positivity going forward.

Of course we'd like some news about new investors but hopefully that will come sooner rather than later.

Maybe the close season, if not before will see the entire saga of the sale of our club resolved once and for all. I certainly hope so.... :)

As long as any investment money is clean then all well and good.

we earned our place in the FL, unfortunately since the move from CP it seems the fans and the club have been shafted from every direction possible

Just to answer a few points about Shrimps Trust which have been raised in this thread – which could be construed as negative towards the Trust (“The Trust should be doing this” – etc.).

The Trust is currently operated by a small band of hardy volunteers – as was The Fans Club before it, and OMFSC before that – who have the interests of the club at heart, and try to promote increased fan engagement and improve the overall experience of supporting the club. As part of the organisations objectives upon formation, The Trust aimed to hold regular and effective communication with The Club on behalf of its membership – a commitment the BoD and employees of Morecambe FC have thus far fulfilled. To date these meetings have been constructive, with questions submitted from the Trust membership forming part of formal agendas. Full minutes from these meetings are published and available to download from The Trusts website https://shrimpstrust.co.uk/news/minutes. We welcome any issues/ideas/suggestions that our membership want raising during these meetings.

In addition to the minutes, members also receive regular emails and a monthly newsletter – electronic copies are available from The Trust website https://shrimpstrust.co.uk/news/newsletters (printed copies are available from the Trust Information Point in JB’s Bar on match days).

If you are a full Trust members for the 2017/18 season and you have not been receiving correspondence, please contact our membership team (email shrimpstrustmemberships@gmail.com) as we may hold incorrect information.

If you are not a full member of the Trust and want to join to receive membership benefits through the discount scheme, entry into the monthly prize draws, and Trust representation - you can join at The Trust at Information Point (cash or card payment accepted – online seasonal memberships are temporarily unavailable).

As a group of Trustees we welcome constructive feedback from existing, prospective and current non-members alike – but it is becoming increasingly frustrating to learn of comments which suggest that The Trust is inactive and that it isn’t communicating with its members; we're doing our best.
