Perhaps he's hoping for an FA Cup run to swell the coffers and pay off some debts,
Now that is a massive gamble knowing our FA Cup history :D

Agree with that. Burnley and a few other teams use their town's badge and it doesn't seem to compromise their merchandise sales.

Won't happen. Only allowed to use it because our fantastic councils forgot to renew the shield. Prior to that, they graciously allowed the club to use it. MTC renewed it and that forced the prawn on us (they charge for the shield's use). Another reason to get rid of our expensive parish council.
