Would like to see Flemmo signed up and maybe get a experienced right back for the time being, like Nicky Hunt and who will also fill in across the back line.

With pre-season training starting next week and no new signings confirmed to date this must be the quietest close season on record. Could it be that yet again the budget has remained the same as last season and is hindering Jim to bring in much needed recruits to build the squad up to at least 18 in number? I fear yet again that we will be facing a relegation battle from the start with little if any optimism of us escaping this time. The lack of anything positive is really worrying and unfortunately the new regime seem to want to continue the lack of communication on this or any other SM platform. Even the lack of rumours about potential signings appears to have dried up. Let's hope that posts like this will result in some positive news regarding signings, but I doubt it. Wonder if it will be a season fielding the maximum number of loanees?

Suspect you're right on all fronts.

Are the new owners at all interested in what is going to happen on the pitch next season or are they interested in selling off club assets? As I said in another post it was strange them buying the club a week before a potential relegation. It gives the impression they are not really interested in the football and sadly the lack of any signings seems to confirm this. Where is the stability Peter McGuigan keeps referring to?

But why have Old and Lavelle signed new contracts when both could have gone onto bigger and better things. Maybe they know something we don't. I live in hope...... for now

I expect they know what Jim has told them and I'm sure he will have been truthful with them even if it's....'You know as much as I do!'

Fleming has now signed a new 1 year contract.

I think that leaves Conlan still undecided.

It would be great to see the defence almost unchanged!

Great news Flemmo has signed a new deal.

lets hope he gets a decent run in the team as I thought he had some great performances last season when he played, but sadly didn't feature much.

Unfortunately I don't think he will. Jim described him on the OWS as "a very well respected member of the squad". He also refers to inconsistency which Jim clearly feels doesn't warrant him being a regular starter. As much as I'd like him to, I don't think he'll be one of the first names on the team sheet.
HOWAY THE SHRIMPS!!!!!

He's out of contract but we haven't announced his release. I'm guessing we're seeing how well his recovery from his injury goes before deciding what to do with him?
