Pre season observations

I've been able to catch much pre-season action, but gathering from the highlights and reaction on here etc, would this be a positive line up?

is it any wonder people have doubts for this season after the years of absolute garbage that we have had to put up with !

Younger, higher calibre players signed
Club secure for the next 2 years at least
Increase in season ticket sales
Fresh ideas from the owners
Plans in for cover behind the Omega
Talks to buy 3g and community block

All confirmed and spoken about by owners and management in recent weeks. This makes me happy.

Calm down snowflake. It's all you do, find ways to have a pop at the manager. I find it toxic. To not recognise the job he's done is fairly ill informed.

A few seasons back, we played somewhere that had a superb pitch. We played great football and battered them. When asked why we don’t play like that every week, Jim replied along the lines of ’if we had a pitch like that, we’d play that way every week’.

I very much supported Jim last season (and before). The goal was to finish third from bottom, anything extra was a bonus. This season feels like it is more than simply survival. This season feels like we should be moving forwards. We’ve now got a great pitch (hope it lasts the season!) and we’ve got players to make the most of it.

This season, I want to see Jim going for it, played on the deck, in a ’we can beat anyone’ attitude. Let them worry about us, not the other way around.

I saw he got a mild pummeling for it, but I kind of agree with RR, this IS a big season for Jim. He needs to demonstrate that we’re capable of moving forwards after a few seasons of treading water. Sometimes treading water is a good thing, it is better than drowning. And we sure as hell have come close to drowning a few times! Now we’ve got some stability (hopefully!) let’s see if we can swim!
