Well said. These sorts of ties worry me. We can not go out there thinking we've already won it.

After our recent FA cup form I don't think that this will happen.

It's about time we did and this is an ideal opportunity.

Lower league club, at home.

This is the year.

It will be a tough game, no doubt about it.

Halifax will be backed by a massive vociferous following too. Be in no doubt about that.

Can see it going to a replay maybe.

We so badly need the money from a good cup run(including a bit of luck with the draws) that this should be a priority for us this year.

Absolutely.

Barrow were cursing that they lost out on £25,000 for their 4th Qualifying Round defeat at Chorley. Then, their American benefactor and chairman resigned.

We REALLY need to go for this.

As it is a cup game and everybody has to pay on the gate, I worry that fed up Season ticket holders may give it a swerve. Could the club make this a "fan day" or does that only apply to FL games? Yes the cup brings in important income but a good win and atmosphere would be a good shot in the arm for everyone.

Good idea.

FA Cup 1st Round ties in recent years have seen "drawn at home FL clubs" suffer with lower than usual attendances.

A possible reduction in prices might (but knowing the public of Morecambe might not...) entice more in.

Bearing in mind of course that gate receipts I think are split and opposition clubs have to be consulted I guess.

I tend to agree with 'knowing the public of Morecambe might not', so what about "2 for 1"? i.e. Home fans bring a mate and two get in for the price of one - could double the home gate for the same expected income. There's been too many empty seats and plenty of space in the Ace Scoffold stand.

Or an alternative view is 2 mates who were going anyway get in for half price halving the expected income,
just saying like.

Got the first part right, now for the BBC or Sky to give us some much needed cash!
“Britain faces a simple and inescapable choice - stability and strong Government with me, or chaos with Ed Miliband: ".

David Cameron. May 4th 2015.
So how did that work out then?
