There was more contact on Oswell in the area then, than for their penalty, but we didn't appeal or make the most of it. That said, I don't think that was a penalty but either both are or neither.

Get in. Nice cross from Oats, nice finish from Kev. Nice goal!

Sam with another silly free kick given away. Nearly cost us again. Not his best game.

Any points Jimbo could have got today were a bonus. Last weeks result losing 2 points was a killer.

All teams below picking up points. Cambridge game at home is a MUST win (a draw is not enough) otherwise league position in 2019 is looking bleak.

Big game Cambridge, id like Wildig back in midfield, he started the season well along side Fleming.

Cranston & Wildig as the makings of a good partnership, although I'm a Kenyon fan, Wildig is a better passer, and Cranston must be one of the first names on the team sheet now.

Firstly, I thought Lincoln played well and show why they're at the top of the table. If they keep playing that style of football then I sincerely hope they get promoted. Also, another excellent turnout from their supporters. We clearly can't compete with crowds of 8,000 but it's nice to see on an utterly rotten, stormy afternoon.

As for us, the weather felt apt! We all know we have injury problems, but we're suffering in some areas. The main one being RB. Yarney just isn't a fullback and so is really struggling there. It's not his fault, it just doesn't work. I'd have rather seen Jordan drop back there and then have Wildig in the middle of the park.

That said, we came with a plan and a formation that wasn't fit for purpose. Sometimes that happens and that's football, but it was clear it wasn't working before we conceded the second (soft penalty or no penalty). Our plan B was to get Mandy and Kev to swap wings. We then came out with the exact same formation and personnel. Nothing changed for the first 20mins until Lincoln took their foot way off the pedal. Only then, with the addition of a hungry-looking Oates, did we manage to create any real chances and pull one back.

The bottom two are clawing back points and we're not looking great. We need to really up our game both attack and defence if we're going to get ourselves out of this hole.

No games are MUST win until April/May

Agree with this apart from the Cranston bit. He's played at right back and wasnt great, he accidently found a position in midfield, which has come to fruition, for me we now rely on him for going forward, I like the way he has a go at goal and faces forwards rather than sideways, even if he does get over excited sometimes and has a wayward shot.
We are lost without Zak

The points dropped in recent games, late goals, missing penalties are starting to bite back. As mentioned above, with the teams below catching up every game is must-win starting with Cambridge on Saturday.

Could end up in a similar situation to last year albeit with a worse goal difference.
