We had Yann as MOM too, he was magnificent again. However there were at least 3 not far behind, and Connolly was one of those. Winning ugly? When did we last do that? Oh that’s right, last time we were in League Two!!!

Can't believe some of the Salford players were shocked when he received his red card
They were a horrible lot throughout the game, was really impressed with the way we pushed back. The Ref didn't help with the way he allowed them to get away with all their cheating.
It was a shocking foul, nothing but a kick on a fellow pro. It made a right thud
Well earned win today. I don’t think Salford deserved anything and we should have scored two or three.
I agree that Mellon is an upgrade on Stockton and was immense today. Shame he was treated so unfairly by the referee who penalised him every time he touched a Salford player and let him get battered all game. The officials really were poor and did everything they could to help Salford.
Speaking of Salford, what a crap, horrible team. Rolling on the floor all game long, booting Jacob Davenport and then Lund swiping at our bench when he walked off to provoke a fight. He should get a longer suspension for that. Cheating was the only thing they were good at - they look more likely to be fighting for survival than promotion this season.
Have just seen the highlights and how good is the pressing for our goal? It starts with a Salford goal kick and we win it back twice high up the pitch before it gets to Adam.
