Our prayers for finance to delve into the loan market have been answered BUT just hope that we don't miss out on signing the Barnsley lad Dallas to rivals Carlisle.

Hopefully the one thing we can guarantee to both club and player is that he will be a fixture until the end of the season.

Carlisle I suspect will be unable to give them that assurance having already secured at least one striker amongst the 10 players they have already signed.

DA has the proven track record of improving every loan player...... :)

First of all the website goes down.
2nd the club release a statement but it doesn't look like it's been released by our club more likely to be Jason

3rd now if you go on the clubs Facebook account it only brings up stuff from 2023 but has gone back to normal in the last hour

Almost as if someone has been pressing the buttons but not necessarily in the right order

A Prosperity Spell needed, green candle, honeysuckle, a few coins as offerings and all Morecambe FC fans focusing on a striker that can score a goal or 10.

It’s worth a try??

Gone on trial at Leeds, so I'm guessing he's set his sights a bit higher than League Two!

So how did that work out then?

Never mind, it’s going to be hard bringing in anybody, after we sent the two who would have come were set back.

What about Ireland, it getting a reputation of developing good technical, strong gifted players.

Linfield,Glentoran and Portadown, producing good players. Shamrock Rovers, Derry and Shelbourne. If not now maybe next season.

Fans at Barnsley are not that complimentary about Dallas ...... :? :? :?
And Carlisle fans are more than confident that he will sign for them because they can afford to pay more in wages and loan fee but many are not impressed with his?career to date.

Winger Dylan Duffy who was the second intended signing by DA has joined Chesterfield on loan from Lincoln.

Terms for Dallas to sign for Carlisle have been agreed according to our hard at work manager.

Confirmed by Derek in the Visitor that there's still hope for Dallas - between us and Carlisle. Given it's a loan and we do have some funds, I think there's a decent chance it'll be down to Dallas's preference rather than financials. If so, we just have to hope that the promise of more game-time can help give us an edge.

Dylan Duffy, who signed for Chesterfield and got an assist on Tuesday, was the other we had lined up. Frustrating, as it seems like he would have been a good signing. Ah well, we'll just have to go and get Carlos now

You’d hope that Dallas would opt for us, given that he’d be virtually nailed on to start every game, whereas Carlisle have signed loads of other players. Plus his wage from Barnsley won’t be affected whether he plays for us or them.

Shame we missed out on Duffy, I just hope we can find someone as good.

Whatever happens between now and the end of the window we can be assured that DA will be working like crazy to bring much needed striker(s) in....BUT it can't be denied that his efforts to date have been thwarted by the current owner who could and should have released funds as promised much earlier than now.

If funds are now available NOW....why not THEN.. :?: :?: :?:

For me their is no logic in the situation other than for the owner having a hidden agenda that is hard to fathom.... :o :o :o

Ref striker Andrew Dallas, my Carlisle-supporting friend says:

"What I have heard is that Morecambe made a deal but Barnsley withdrew it when they realised Morecambe had a transfer embargo. So Carlisle hopped in with a permanent deal offer. Morecambe now saying Barnsley should honour the original deal but the Carlisle deal was quite a long way down the line. Carlisle manager Williamson is banking on it. But will have to see how it pans out!"
