Does the club shop open Saturdays? Will need to get over at weekend to renew our season tickets and buy the new shirts, hopefully at the same time. Can't get over during the week due to work so hopefully shop will be open Saturday mornings maybe.

Our season tickets about to go on sale yet Luton, even though relegated have already sold 3,500 and the Shrews 2,700 whilst little old Macclesfield (comparable to ourselves) have sold 550.

I don't really see how early they go on sale makes a difference - the same people are likely to buy their season ticket, regardless of when they go on sale.

It helps many a club's cash flow during the summer months, so important they go on sale as early as possible.

This is something that has frequently mystified me about our club. The clubs who are desperate for cash at times e.g. Accy', Bratfud, are prepared to sell season tickets halfway through the previous season. However Morecambe must be the last club in the country to put theirs on sale!

Is this a good sign i.e.( We ain't desperate for the money so whenever will do), or is it bad marketing i.e. (a couple on here have mentioned they've now spent the money they had set aside so won't be bothering) ????

Perhaps we don't sell enough for it to be a major issue either way?

For me our apparent casual attitude is a good sign, for if we were desperate for cash we'd surely be selling them before next Christmas for next to nout ala Accy' and Bratfud.

If anyone can answer this with accuracy they will solve a puzzle that has puzzled me for a while.

Surely selling tickets earlier is an advantage, those who are in 2 minds about buying one are more likely to get one......if they're actually available and it gives more people time to buy one from peer pressure. Say your wondering about getting one and you keep bumping into friends or work colleagues who have alreayd bought one it would probably go a long way to persuading omre people to buy them.
Get over it ;)

I think there is the straight forward case that some points in time people are more 'flush' than at others. For example a dad may get the kids chipping in a few quid each to go towards one next weekend if they could, where-as if not available, they'll buy some aftershave and socks. The dad then thinks later in the summer, that the rest of the money is best spent on a new fence. The longer and easier it is to buy a 'luxury' item, the more chance there is of selling it!

So how did that work out then?

I would have got a season ticket in April or May. Going on Holiday in July, so there is no chance for me to get one now. I may also miss games through work (hope not!) but would still take the chance and buy a season ticket. I also would get off my backside and support the Ressies........
and would plan more away trips to give my support, because i could afford to. So the club and myself are missing out!
