We were discussing this yesterday as to whether he would start. He certainly has done in previous rounds.
You couldn't have a more intriguing contest with the ex Morecambe interest and the fact that Abramovich is attempting to have a fire sale of Chelski FC, no doubt with the intention of doing a runner to the sun on his mega yacht, enabled and financed by his close affiliation with a well known dictator currently running amok in Europe.

Thought Carlos had a quiet game overall, the highlight being a sublime through ball for Luton's' second goal.

That's something we've missed since he moved on. The range and vision of his passing game was always way above the usual league two standard. I think there were murmurings of a possible loan return in January (probably just wishful thinking). I would guess there is very little chance of that now even with the return of DA.

You have to wonder where Jim goes from here. Was the perfect job to showcase himself as a Manager that can win games rather than get a team to stay up. I think the writing was on the wall when they potted McKenna and brought in Nick Chadwick. Hopefully Jims standing in the game will help him find another job, worse managers have.

Their owner is a real piece of work. .

Jim was always on a hiding to nothing.

Unless his club are always on top the manager is OK. If they go down to 3rd or 4th any managerfaces the sack.

Jimbo deserves better and I'm sure clubs looking g for a manager will be knocking on his door.

Dogfood Dave as he seems to be known has backed Jim in the market, Harry Davis and Mark Cullen arriving in the last month. I can't imagine he is the easiest Chairman to work for

Dear me Redrobo, Are you suggesting that after a number of years in EFL 2, a couple of year in National League North that your hero should be looking for a position in the Northern Premier League? I think you are being extremely harsh. I honestLy believe Jim would be a very good coach at a high ranking academy or under 21’s, and the pay wouldn’t be a great deal different, but far above NPL level

I'm not sure he can go from failing at Fylde to a high ranking academy. Think he will probably have to look downwards or stay at that level until something works for him again. Everyone talked about what a good job he did for us - and he did - but no club ever came in for him and when they did it was a team about to be relegated from the National League. Think he'd be lucky to get a job at that level again but we'll see.

Whilst we may differ on the level that Jim should manage at, I can confirm that a club from league 1 did try and get Jim as manager, but they wanted to be a tad underhand about things and Jim , very much a man of honesty and principal, wouldn’t have anything to do with it.

Was that Richie Bennett playing for Sutton at Wembley today.

He's had a few clubs in his career !

I think he did very well for us in those few months at the end of the 2018/19 season in tandem with Collins.

Yes, he's had 10, never going to catch Richard Brodie on 26

I agree that loyalty counts for nothing in football but in this case Artell was given plenty of time to turn things round and Crewe left it right to the bitter end before sacking him. Very few clubs (if any) would have kept him on.

Sure Jimbo would agree about a lack of loyalty following his dismissal at AFC Fylde.
