Sammy at his most bizarre, signs Scot Loach on loan, decides after 2 games he doesn’t fancy him, sighs Schwan on loan , gives him maybe 7/8 games and decides he doesn’t fancy him either, and finishes the remainder of the season with Scott Davies in goal - not surprising we had a high wage bill in those days. Think Schwan and Eddie Howe were at Bournemouth together

Danny Whittaker sacked at Macclesfield FC. Top of the table, and a game in hand.

Fans are blaming the fact Sammy McIlroy was brought in to "assist" and be a consultant for Whittaker saying that McIlroy was issuing instructions from the touchline contrary to the then managers instructions and nobody had a clue what was going on.

Some very interesting reading on the Facebook and Twitter feeds regarding.

Not that much difference in my post about the England Squad that 'the self appointed censor' decided to delete.

Wonder how long this post will remain.

I think you'll find that a 'former player', mentioned in the 'former player' thread, is not "Off Topic". Your post, was very clearly "OFF TOPIC", as you knew fine well. I didn't bother to read your World Cup post, just dumped it, as promised. If the England squad has any ex-Morecambe players in it, then I apologise.

Genuinely not on the wind up. Just thought it was a big deal for one of our former players. Thanks for understanding Keith

Interview with David Perkins as he starts his Coaching career.

Always thought that Sammy Mc was too quick to get rid of David and spent numerous hours with David's father who was quick to question SMc's reasoning with a hint of bitterness...as any father would do... :(
