Olly Crankshaw goes from Stockport to Motherwell on loan.

He doesn't stay for long anywhere.

A Marine FC supporting mate has just told me Freddie Price has done his ACL. He’s not the only one apparently, blame put on their 4G pitch.

Knew he was at Marine of course but wasn't he being touted by Luton Town at one point just last season?

With utmost respect to Marine, it's a bit of difference in standard.

Joe Lewis didn't have a lot to do for Aberdeen in the Scottish Cup last night, except pick the ball out of the back of his net.....losing to a non-league team whose name has already escaped me. :o

In a recent interview I am sure Sam said he had had a shoulder operation and would be ready for preseason training for next season!

https://www.charltonafc.com/news/lavell ... loan-moves

Hopefully Sam will be back home next season....as it sounds as though the Charlton manager doesn't see him in his long term plans...

With central defensive positions to be filled this summer could well be that DA sees Sam as an ideal option.

I wonder if we had been aware that Sam was going to be available on loan if we would have not signed the new centre back from Southampton and pushed for Sam to join instead... :?: :?: :?:

Thankfully we will not have to play against him this season but would be gutted if by signing for Burton he assists them in saving their EFL1 place.

The problem is that his wages at Charlton will be 4 or 5 times as much as our top player earns.

He has another year on his contract at Charlton so if he moves in the Summer it will be to a club that can pay him a similar wage which won't be us (unless the new owner(s) are going to increase the budget !)

Not sure how Burton can even come close to his current wags but whoever he plays for next season a similar problem may rule out the majority of EFL1 clubs who if they stick to the rules can only operate within a budget determined by turnover.

However Sam did say he would be back with us one day so we can live in hope that a satisfactory wages package would be attractive enough for him to make a more than welcome return....hopefully :!: :!: :!:
