Former Shrimps Thread

Ryan Edwards is in the process of deciding who to play for next season as clubs in both the Championship and EFL1 are keen to add him to their ranks for the coming season.

Always felt he could have done a good job for us IF we had the pennies to afford his salary.

Pleased that we have swooped after having him watched last season finally Carlos is a Wanderer, videos going around from the Club yesterday with him attending the first day of training. Hopefully he will be played as the number 10 a position we have been trying to fill for two seasons.
Great to see him smiling and getting involved.

He is a great lad. He used to live on the Promenade at Sandylands and I would see him and the player we signed with him walking to the ground.

Always remembered for scoring the penalty at Wembley to beat Newport County.

As much as I detest your manager, he's played a blinder and got Carlos for a song compared with some of the inflated prices for less talented players.

Carlos will always be remembered for that Wembley goal and maybe one day in the very distant future he'll return 'home'....if we ever resolve our ownership problems....

I thought his mate Jagne also looked a good prospect but not many make the next step.
Enjoy yourself.... It is later than you think

Too injury prone throughout his career to date. As much asso e would have liked him to have been an offered a contract but could we afford to have a player with such a history remembering our limited budge..

A certain Cole Stockton limped off the field in the 32 minute in the Burton v Leicester Cup game last night.

Unclear at this stage how serious it is but wish him well..... :)

Yup, if a transfer request has gone in, along with his sick-note, he won't have a shot on target until after Christmas.

Seriously, I'd never wish an injury on a player, but I really don't care what happens in the rest of his career. He stole a wage for six months, when we needed him the most.

A couple of Blackpool fans I know attended the burton match and said Cole seemed to play a deeper role but was largely anonymous throughout. They seemed happy they hadn't gone in for him!

Sad really as Cole was a real asset when he felt like it.

He could, and should, have left as a hero, and if he'd been bothered for all of last season, he would probably have been in the Championship or at a leading League One club. More to the point, we'd probably still be in League One.
