As the commentators said, no system, no ideas and no heart. Rooney was awful and why did it take 85 minutes before Rashford came on.
Out of EC and now out of European Champs. The French will be lapping it up.
Who will take over is anybodies guess but whoever it is he can only play with who he's got. And he's got sod all.

Hart should never have started as he has made mistake after mistake in France. Vardy should have been on from the start. Woy your time is up. Think Eddie Howe is worth a chance. Done a fantastic job at Bournemouth in a short space of time.

These are premier league players who play for some of the top clubs so they should be performing better. Eddie Howe deserves it, proved he can work on a small budget and manages to find talent. Neville or Southgate would not be my choice like Wright thinks.

Personally I blame the methodology behind squad selection for our latest failings. Roy and his staff have selected what they deemed to be the best players in the country and then tried to impose a formation/structure upon them that they don't play at club level on the international stage. Which premier league team plays 4-3-3 with wing-backs and a CF in the middle? Stick with what we know.
Wayne Rooney is possibly the most overrated player to ever pull on an England shirt. I have no doubt that he will continue to play against minnows (that we now can't beat!) collecting caps and extending his excellent goalscoring record against the likes of San Marino and Andorra, but in the big games he goes missing and it is about time he steps aside and lets somebody else have a go.

The ability to work on a small budget has got nothing to do with whether he should be the next manager. Budgets don't count in such a position. What does count is the managers tactical awareness and his or her ability to have the respect and confidence of the players called upon. He'll not even be in the reckoning for the job but for me a manager like Burnley's would be the ideal candidate with a new and fresh outlook on the role. Unfortunately I fear that the FA will rely on the trusted but failed formulae and select someone who has internal connections and is a member of the 'club'....
