The sooner we get a local owner with community ethics, like an Andy Holt, we can become a better club.

No point in hoping for something that's unlikely to happen. PMG had it on the market for a few years and the "rich local owner" never appeared, so why do you think someone is just around the corner?

Ken, you couldn’t have got my comment more wrong if you tried. I don’t want a local Mr Rich, just someone who knows the local area, and like Andy Holt, turn the club round, make it profitable and actually do it by working with the community. It’s not rocket science or even rockets salad.

As for no one out there, there was a local interested party who had the funds and the backing but wasn’t willing to buy before the Coventry game. We need to a deal to survive so we did one. There are options out there.

I agree, Mr Holt has really set the bench mark for how an owner should be.

I feel that this is a football club that plays football in the town rather than the towns football club.

When did you last see the club interacting with the town? Visiting schools, opening shops or just being involved. I type this after just watching Callum Lang playing footy with 20 star struck Oldham school kids.

I'm surprised that we now read that their was local interest in buying the club, even more surprising that news of such importance regarding ownership of our club wasn't leaked or made public knowledge.

I've long advocated that a local consortium would have been the preferred option but over the entire period that our club was up for sale no news of local interest ever materialised which in view of this latest speculation raises serious questions about why it never became public knowledge.

That’s his objective to make the club entirely sustainable (and hopefully to make other clubs and the Football League sustainable.

He's obviously a far far superior businessman to MPG who turned our silk purse into a sows ear, and he genuinely puts the club's success ahead of his own, we have been sold down the river 3 times by our former chairman, I personally dont trust the new owners one bit and fear for the club's future.

I know Accrington dont have sposorers boxes like us, but do Accrington do a match day Hospitality like us or similar?

Because if Accrington have been making profit, it makes you wonder why bother with it on match day when you consider the wages and staff?

£2m in wages we paid all Staff in total and Jim only gets a £600.000 budget for players
