You don't want one for iFollow, it will stop it from working. Very useful for on-line banking etc, especially if you use a public/hotel wifi. I use Nord VPN, which is a paid for service. You can get 'free' VPN's but they'll have adverts and tend to be slower.

Well deserved that win. Nightmare og for Gibson, but looks like a solid LB. COYS.

Glad to get the win with two good break away goals. Not the best performance and sat too deep for much of the game but a wins a win after the last two results. We improved at the start of the second half when Wildig got closer to Stockton. Credit to Stockton who held the ball up well. For me, he either needs his midfielders surrounding him or someone up top to partner him.

Gomez offered literally nothing going forward, but to his credit tracked back well to cover Gibson who made a solid debut. Great to see us throw bodies on the line to get the win - Wildig took two big blocks at the end. I understand we've had to rotate with so many games but I'd like to see us build some consistency around the park. The back 5 that started looks like our best option so I hope we can give them a run of games to build that understanding.I'm a big fan of Davis at the back. He is dominant in the air and can win a challenge. For our second goal it started with a David interception in our box from a dangerous position before we broke. For I'd probably give MOTM to Wildig for his goal and getting around the pitch.

Unrelated, but the stats on iFollow seem totally wrong. 8 offsides for us apparently, I can remember 1. Were we really offside 8 times?

Match stats from OWS show us being offside once.

We footballed them off the park the whole game. They were fortunate to score early on and Turner barely had a shot to save all game. We know how to play!

All we are missing is a sharpshooter up front.

Cooney should start every game

Sharpshooter isn't the only thing we're missing for any match. I know we can't do anything about it, but once fans get back ? ! ? !

Not sure we "footballed them off the park"! They had 60% of possession. First half we were poor. Second half we were better. The two goals were really well taken. Phillips was my MotM. Wildig played well in the second half, passing well, but also a couple of excellent, important, blocks. He really put his body on the line. Zero Southend shots on target, we had three.

Good to get three points, we need to build on the result.

I feared the worst when we went a goal down after 4 minutes but we managed to get a grip on the game and clawed back to get the three points which was great to see.

Not an amazing footballing performance but I thought we were good value for the win against a Southend side who look set to struggle this season - apart from the last 5 or 10 minutes they barely had any attacks all game never mind chances or shots.

I felt really let down by the lack of passion or pride in the Newcastle game so it was a positive to see us digging in and competing today.

Well yeah but ... our 40% of possession was superior quality Keith.

Like most of us on here I have been focussing on the TOTALLY CRAP i-follow. I now realise that we should all be focussing on MFC. A bad couple of games of course (0-12. Ouch), but we are now 5th in the league so let's get behind the lads and forget the rubbish that is i-follow. :D :D :D

This is a bit harsh. iFollow was excellent last season and it's an amazing thing when you consider you can watch and listen from anywhere in the world.
Remember when we had to get a short wave radio to then go outside to the highest place nearby and fiddle with the aerial before painstakingly fine tuning the dial just so the results on the BBC World World Service could be heard? Or not bothering and waiting for the papers to arrive two days later? Or even just 10 or so years ago when we were completely wowed by the Match Live console (audio only)?
Yes, it's not working as well as last season, but maybe that's because of the huge numbers of people now using it. Give it a chance to get over its teething problems it's having with mass adoption during these times. Or maybe you'd just prefer to go back to the short wave experience?

Perhaps use the next couple of days to contact iFollow with your problems to see if they can be sorted? I've honestly not had a problem at all, so far this season. The picture quality was grim at Grimsby, but other than that it has been as good or better than last season (so far!)

its worth looking into buying a cheap laptop for under £100 to watch iFollow on Microsoft and Windows rather than iPads etc

Using my laptop and Google Chrome, for the 2nd game running, I had a perfect picture until the players were making their way onto the pitch then it just started constant buffering and I had to log out and watch from my iPad. Seems a bit strange and coincidental that it happened at the same point on two occasions. Are iFollow blocking certain web browsers (No, I'm not using a VPN Keith)

I don't agree it was a nightmare o.g.

Gibson saw that after the ball came back off the bar it was going to be tapped in by a Southend player. He threw himself at the ball trying to clear the danger but unfortunately it went past the keeper into the net. At least he was quick to see danger and was just really unlucky. I think he will do well for us in the problem left back position.

Totally agree. Initially, I actually thought their lad had got to it first, I had to watch it back to see it was an OG. He did well to even get a head on it first, if he hadn't, it was going in anyway. A good, solid game from the lad.

same with me, streams fine till coming onto the pitch, and it only seems to be when showing L2 games, these recent midweek cup games have been alright.

Might be worth doing some speed tests, to see what you are getting?

https://www.speedtest.net

Does the speed drop/vary much? Could be contention rates, perhaps other people in the area coming on line to watch football too? Do you have unlimited mobile data? Try setting your phone to a mobile hotspot and join that if you are getting buffering, even if only to see if it is cured, so you can begin to isolate where the problem is?

Do you have another browser on the computer? Try installing Firefox or Opera?

I have used Chrome (on a Mac) without any problems although generally I use Safari.

Not a criticism of the lad, thought he had a good game overall, but an own goal in your 1st game for your new club after 5 mins, obviously would have felt “nightmare “ to him. Happy to use whatever description you feel relevant. Hope he starts Sat.
