I;m sure i heard on the radio that, besides not having a cycleway or streetlights other than at junctions, the build would be done in 2 1/2 years instead of 3 1/2, saving £16million altogether,
does this mean it would have taken a year to build a thin ribbon of tarmac and put up a few lights?
How does that work, then?,
or were we expected to pay for extended tea breaks and early weekend finishes!!!

What I believe was stated was that work may start in October 2012 with a finishing date in summer 2015.

Just received details of latest. which states total as £137M with the local amount of £4M. sounds like a bargain.
Will make it a lot easier for our new players to get to the ground

1 hour from centre of Warrington to the M6 junction 34.
1 hour from junction 34 to The Globe Arena.
Hope they get working soon. Then they can build the new power stations and Morecambe can become prosperous.

You should have come off at Jcn 33 Keith and gone through town ,
anyway sod the bye-pass and give us the £123m and we could buy Tevez for a season before he gets pissed off and moves somewhere else for a large cut of the transfer fee.

Last time I came off at 33 it took just as long to get down through town, it was backed up to the Greaves Hotel. I'm sure the Greens were pleased that I sat there for an hour, burning diesel while going no-where!

Barrage to Barrow, then tunnel to Douglas - that's what Posh and bigreddog would have pushed for if they'd been voted in!
Ah well.

Damn! I could have been at The Globe in the time it takes to get there from Galgate! Mind you, to get to a game, I'd have had to go via Barrow, so perhaps it's just as well...
