Unfortunately Twissy is out for a few weeks.
I am hoping we sign a new player from down the coast so here is my team:
Roche
Yates Bentley Artell Parrish
Wainwright Stanley Drummond Duffy
Curtis Howe
Subs Davies McStay O'Carroll Blinkhorn Taylor

Roche
McStay Bentley Artell Adams/Parrish
Stanley Drummond Hunter Curtis
Taylor Howe
Something needs to happen at the back and I think Henry deserves another chance. Yatesy maybe as well - but if the manager has identified him as one of the ones who makes way for incoming players that may be an argument that's gone. McStay also gives us more height for defending set-pieces.
In midfield I've always liked the look of Stanners when he's pushed out right during certain games - I recall he did it well at Darlo last season and in another game away (Lincoln?).
I think we need Wayne in there for his presence along that side.
Up front I don't dislike O'Carroll but he hasn't shown much in his past few games that would stand in the way of giving young Aaron a start. The lad has not only shown an eye for goal, he has displayed really good ball control and a good awareness of players around him. The front pairings that we've tried haven't really clicked yet, so why not give him a try?

In all seriousness one in which we can dominate the midfield on Saturday
someone has to take a grip on the game before Gary Jones gets the opportunity and then dictates the game as he and Perks did at Spotland back in April.
We need to come out of the blocks and batter them for the first 20
Put Neil Wainwright in a free role behind the front two
Cant do much with the spine but we need big gutsy performances on Saturday
Injuries are causing one or two selection problems but i'd like to see the following:
Roche
Parrish Bentley Drummond Adams
McCann Stanley Curtis
Wainwright
Howe Taylor

Do you think Drummie would feel comfortable at the back, rather than McStay who is far more used to the role, when he has already broken forward from midfield and chipped in with a few goals this season?
For me:
Roche
Parrish Bentley McStay Adams
Wainwright Drummond Stanley Curtis
Taylor Howe
Subs: Davies Artell Hunter Blinkhorn O'Carroll

At set pieces Drummond would be a key player and I also think his distribution is quality
He can launch a good long ball to the strikers
Sammy has said its a must win game Saturday and I agree
Would be unfair to rely on McStay when he has rarely featured
I think it would look like a panic measure........

No way will this be the team, but my suggestion is
Roche
McStay Jimbo Drummy Yates
McLachlan
Stanners Wayne
Howe Taylor O'Carroll
Subs
Carr Hunter Artell Wainwright Davies
Team tactics?
That's an easy one....Attack, attack, attack...and PLAY IT ON THE DECK.
Cut out the long high balls. Pass and move.
Sounds easy eh!
Football is a simple game. It's coaches and managers (and armchair managers
)who make it complicated.

Sammy has said its a must win game Saturday and I agree
When did Sammy say this? and if so what will he or what can he do if we dont win other than to come out with the standard manager speak of "not acceptable" or we will be working even harder in training to put it right!

Why would Drummond be starting in defence?
I'd like to see a team full of gumption, fired up and ready to take the game to Rochdale giving the players, staff and fans a confidence boost.

I don't understand it - I'm not sure what the little fella has to do to justify his place and right now you need his industrious style of play , breaking things up etc. I didn't go to Gillingham but by all accounts he was no worse than anybody else and was marked a 5. But of the 7 matches I have seen this season he has been
one of the more consistently better players , certainly on effort.
Sammy has said its a must win game Saturday and I agree
I don't know if he has said it or not , but on the back of 5 - 0 thrashing he maybe will do. It is a big game I believe and we need to get something out of it. Rochdale are desperate to get out of this league and will be at our throats from the off - another heavy defeat will be a major blow.

We've no natural width, so let's play through the middle. If the ball is going to go long, we need someone to be a target.

The problem is that all the permatations that has been selected apart from my Legends team , none of them have any pace and thats where the biggest problem lies . I have not seen 1 game this season where we have the opposition on the back foot. Are there any young lads in the reserves that can inject some pace into the team or are they not ready to step up yet, just a thought.

IMO he plays best when hes brought on from the bench as an impact sub. But I do think that we should start with either Hunter or McLachlan (ie a defensive midfielder).
