oh there was credit,he took credit for the win himself, jim obviously listens to all niels GOOD IDEAS, like who not to get rid of,today, when the chips were down,he thought,'what would mr child do now?'

Niel alludes to this in the match thread!

he's now spreading the gospel of 'St Child'

There you go again. Style, sometimes lacking. Substance/result 3 points. What the hell do you want???
Real Madrid performance and no points or a struggle and 3 points.
I don't get you at all. Your NEGATIVITY is really starting to p**s me off.
Every game you're always negative "get him off, he's bloody rubbish, do something about it Jim etc etc etc"
I don't want the club to lose money but it would be nice to see your seat EMPTY next season.
Do you get my drift ??

Don't know who you are Pablo but your comments are totally out of order..... Neil is entitled to his opinion like I am and like everyone is
If you don't like it then TOUGH... But there is certainly no need to get personal, that is wrong

Wasn't trying to get personal. I also have an opinion on things.
So I apologise if this has taken it too far.
Hopefully this will be the end of my ranting etc. 100% over the White line is given. Class maybe lacking but you can only play how the other team allows us to play. But then That's the way it should be.
Bury could have been out of sight at half time.
It jut shows that football is a crazy game. Example draw against ACCY win away at burton, Luton and bury.
Sit back and ride the roller coaster. That's all we can do.

Not really

Mid table isn't bad but don't stop there otherwise the Shrimps will slip back next season. How can Morecambe get 3000 into the Globe Arena every home game ? ... that is the challenge. Observing from afar it seems to me Peter McGuigan needs some help. At the start of the season I read about the local businessmen who were coming in to the club but not much seems to have happened ? How can you enthusiastic Shrimps fans help lever up the attendances to 2000...2500...3000 ? I'd be spending the summer working out how to do it. There's obviously something to build on http://www.lancasterguardian.co.uk/news ... -1-7025856 but you need to be bold and adventurous. The existing fan base needs to be doubled and the club and the regulars must work hand in hand to achieve that goal. Once you start the journey together the roller coaster ride is not just fun - there is a purpose behind it.

Not often I disagree with Gashead but this is one occasion. The line between 'bold & adventurous' and 'reckless' is a very fine one. Many clubs have been 'bold' only for it all to come tumbling down around them and they end up without a club at all. Or they welcome in a sugar-daddy who eventually gets bored. There are a few Andy Pilley's around but there are even more Stephen Vaughan's, who managed to drive not one, but two clubs to the verge of extinction.

It will take us a long time to creep up to a 3,000 average. Possibly another decade of league football. There is work for the club to do around the 'match day experience', which stubbornly remains an issue for a large number of fans (and more importantly, ex-supporters). Gentle, steady steps with a long term plan rather than bold & adventurous in my opinion.

But we also need to be realistic about who we are. Football League next season was the goal. There are an awful lot of bigger clubs who would dearly love to swap places with us.

But unless something radical is done about the gates, staying in L2 will get harder and harder. The Board (and Jim's) target should be two fold - staying in the league WITH increasing gates year on year. You can't have one without the other in the long term.

Sorry, but sun will freeze over before that ever happens.

I've supported our club faithfully since 1956 so any flack that comes my way for posting what I feel is like water of a ducks back. There is of course an option that you may like to consider.....DON'T READ MY POSTS...

I started posting a wonderful reply Keith. Pure Shakespeare it was. Then I got distracted, the time limit elapsed and I was logged off so it all disappeared into the ether. I'll get back to you when inspiration grips me again which in San Francisco can be quite a disturbing experience. :D

And Mr Vaughan is now back in football having got involved at Bangor City.

Not my favourite non league ground to visit with Morecambe when we played them in the NPL many, many years ago but I'm not sure I'd wish this on them....

That will go down well in Stanley Bowles' neck of the woods
