The Lancaster City Council one down Westgate always used to be good and well priced mate, although I've not been for a while.

The Overton one is still in business.

There's a good one in Bolton le Sands on Mill Lane.

Further afield there's Hayes Garden Centre in Ambleside and that is a massive place.

Not forgetting between Bolton Le Sands and Ambleside is the big one just outside Milnthorpe, on the left heading back this way, the name of which escapes me....

Garden centres at Beetham and Ambleside are good but you pay top dollar, and everything we have bought from Hayes has failed. If you want good value head south towards Preston. Barton Grange is good but the best are at Myerscough College and Ashfields, a little further along the road from the college on the left. Great stuff and very good value. We also use the ones on the road to Southport after Tarleton, particularly Sooty's. A bit of a trip but worth it. Happy digging.

The one Jack mentioned near Myerscough college is Ashlea not Ashfields, that's our favourite, they take cash or cheque only, no credit or debit cards. Give Hayes and Barton Grange a miss unless you are minted. The other one Jack mentioned near Tarleton is Mr Sootys, good stuff their too but a bit of a drive.

Never bought any plants from Bay View at Bolton le Sands but they do a nice latte in the cafe

Ashlea is the best :!:

Any garden centre/ nursery that has a cafe you know will be expensive plants. ;)
