All the best Drummy. Hope he gets the captain's armband when he comes on off the bench in the second half. Arguably the best midfielder we have ever had and a true club legend. :D

Sad news but it had to come eventually . Let's hope Jim can unearth a young budding Drummond in the near future.

THE best midfielder we've EVER had.

From making his debut in February 1995 to retirement, 600+ games later, in May 2015.

Nobody, ever, will beat Stewart's appearance record in the first team.

Legend. ABSOLUTE legend.

Stewy, we WILL salute you.

Thanks for everything.

Martin

Feel like I have grown up watching Drummy. We have had some great midfielders since I have been watching the Shrimps, Healy Grimmy, Cainy and Burns to name a few but Drummy learnt from them all and outlasted everyone of them. A true Morecambe great. A Well deservered heroes send off is required Saturday and what price a last minute drummy winner that keeps Southend from automatic promotion!

would be great if we could do something for Drummy!
I know it's last Minute but do FCOM have any Money to get a flag or something?

Good shout. Sure plenty would chip in if there was a bucket collection to pay for this. :D

Unfortunately I think it would be a bit short notice to get a high quality custom designed banner ready and delivered before the weekend... Maybe a PVC banner like the Burton one? Technically I don't think they are allowed in grounds though as they don't have a fire safety certificate.... The MADKATS banner (does have a fire safety certificate) has been checked for this on numerous occasions when travelling away.

FCoM has committed to paying for 3 * banners next season, 2 designed by local schools and a third chosen from designs submitted by FCoM members. Submit a design Hodgy... Could get it hung up next season.

Sad to see Drummond retire, but I understand his reasoning. He's done well when called upon this season, but that hasn't been very often. Could have played higher if he wasn't so loyal to Morecambe when he was in his prime. I'm glad he got the chance to play at Wembley with Shrewsbury.

Just thinking of activities you can be getting on with over the summer.... When you're not painting fences.

Unnecessary for the club to urge the fans to give Stewart the send off he deserves as I'm sure he'll get a fantastic reception. Thank you for your years of work for Morecambe, Stewart and hope all goes well with your new job......I'm sure you'll give it your all as you always have.

Is he worthy of naming a stand after him?

How about renaming the north terrace to the 'Stewart Drummond' stand. Many of his Hollywood balls have ended up in there.... ;)

As everyone else has said. A true Morecambe FC legend and may be hard to replace.

I absolutely LOVE this photo of yours Keith.

This picture would look SUPERB on the wall of the downstairs bar at the ground.

Great picture. First season in the Conference that.

Incredible when you think about it that Drummy actually made his First XI debut, the season BEFORE this one - the 1994/95 Promotion from Uni-bond League season.

TWENTY seasons ago.
