The bedrooms are far beyond what you would expect in Morecambe, awesome and still here

After so much put in , I hope it works out

No wonder it took so long to complete , what an excellent job they've done in every department( bar , garden and bedrooms) . Cant wait for Fcom to sort us out a meal deal .

Nice one Rod, The Morecambe hotel was one of my locals being brought up in the Poulton area of Morecambe, My grandfather even had a grocers shop on Poulton road back in the day.
We'll come in soon and test the menu.

Spent much of my youth at my grandmothers in Oxford Street so knew The Morecambe well back then.

Having viewed the standard and quality of the rooms, I don't think Rod would let you up the stairs without polishing your boots, never mind take pets.

No harm asking though

Dogs are allowed in the bar Keith.
Had a meal there tonight, first class, restaurant quality and great service!
Will be returning soon.

I was probably around before you. !953 - 1963. Can certainly remember the types of shops and some of the names. Should I PM you or are there others want to join in this memory lane walk (on a new thread? O/T of course ).

Yep, you were there before me but I'll bet 'Wildings' bakery would have been up and running?
