There was a right trolley full of pies being sold off at the end of the game.

Probably had a few left because only 1200 home fans bothered turning up on a glorious bank holiday Saturday

The decision is down to me (Colin, Head of lotteries).
The current average rate of overall sales combined with the expected crowd would suggest that it is realistic to forecast that we would make a loss on the OTB. Without boring people this would be in breach of the lotteries Act (which demands a minimum level of donation from the society to the cause for each draw).
I have all the tickets printed in accordance with the statutory legal requirements at the start of the season to obtain the best price possible (pre season and all league games). The cost of having tickets printed and sold is prohibitive for this game.
For anyone missing out on Tuesday please feel free to double up for the Northampton game when the OTB will return!

Sadly the away supporters traditionally are not the ones who buy the tickets. I have figures for every selling point on a match by match basis for the last 2 seasons and it can make interesting reading when it comes to forecasting.

The "new" catering unit on the forecourt suggests that the powers that be follow Shrimps Voices as this was discussed on here very recently.

Thought I'd give the new catering van a go, it looks good parked there. Asked if they did 'Curry-chip', but alas, they hadn't had time to do a curry on Tuesday, so I just had chips. They were ACE! Fresh, crisp, done to a tee and loads of 'em! A tad pricey at £2.50 tho'. Hope they have the curry next time

The footy experience has never been the since the move and the loss of Aunt Sally's
Was delighted when the new burger van pulled up outside last couple of games so I get ready save my self all day for a big double burger with fried onions then gutted to find no van and had to put up with a Mars bar.

if a season ticket holder wants a sit down meal in the Pmg before the match he can pay £20, to do so, if he wants ti instead, have a sit down meal in the flyer with a mate, its around a tenner for 2 people, that is why our hospitality is now doing crap business and the flyer is very busy on match days, a bloke and a child can eat in the flyer, then sit in the Pmg, for £35, or just buy 2 hospitality tickets and do virtually the same thing for £80!
Wake up MFC!

Agree Mr Spud , hungry bugga's day out starts with 2 meals for a tenner at Willy Mitch for lunch and after the game a rump and gammon steak combo is £13.50 for two of us . Then if your a greedy bugga after a night at the races you can grab a pie or two for a quid each .
