Scottish shrimp fans

Hi there,

I was at the recent Morecambe v Luton match and enjoyed it a lot despite the score. I was wondering

if there were any other Scots in particular from Edinburgh who travel to home matches. Also I was

wondering how the Shrimps local fans feel about Scots like myself who are fond of Morecambe and the

Shrimps football team. I was made to feel very welcome but would like to gauge opinions.

Cheers, John.

All fans are welcome wherever they are from.

I think there is somebody who comes from Edinburgh quiet regularly, and there is also a young bunch from Motherwell that come to the odd game. The Motherwell lot aren't everyone's cup of tea because they seemed to have, perhaps unintentionally, encouraged some bad behaviour from our own young impressionable support base; many of whom are now subject to three season home bans!

Anyone and everyone that can behave and isn't banned is welcome, glad you enjoyed your visit.

If you're on Facebook the Morecambe fans page is quite active and you might find it a little easier to connect to fans on there.

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply.

If the person or people from Edinburgh read this forum I would appreciate them getting in touch with

me. As for misbehaving or getting banned or causing trouble I can assure you I am not interested in

that at all. I'm a middle aged man in the mid forties who shed the teenage rebel skin some time ago.

Just want to enjoy the atmosphere and hopefully better results from the Globe Arena.

Cheers, John.

That's really unfair, the Motherwell fans are loud & enthusiastic. The morons, some of whom have recently been banned are... well... ...morons, encouraged to get in to trouble by an even bigger moron of a father. The Motherwell fans are positive role models. The morons are nothing to do with them. Don't forget, some of us have been advising the club to get a grip of the morons for a few seasons now.

Weren't some of these Well fans thrown out of the end of season awards do last year? Genuine question; I wasn't there but have been told this is the case.

I hadn't heard that, if true then fair enough, although I think the morons didn't need any help from the Scotts

I was there and spoke to one of the Motherwell fans. He was very complimentary about our club and the so called 'morons'. Seemed like a decent guy. Think they just got bored (these awards do drag on a bit) and left early. Doubt they will be visiting Carlisle this time around if their mates have been banned. They certainly improve the atmosphere.

motherwell fans were bloody marvellous, a great crowd, not aware of any problems at all.
