Very annoying.

This is not good for us, only having one Tuesday night game this month is not going to be good for cash flow, particularly when covering the costs of 2,600 miles on the road in the same month!

As I posted on the wrong thread  how is the club supposed to fund itself in what must be an extremely expensive month .
Surely dagenham must have enough squad players to keep the game on . What's about when we have key players injured and have to put youth players on the bench

If it was the other way round we would want the game off as well. This isn't about not having enough players it's about players being taken from a club by a country which leaves the club unfairly disadvantaged.

What happens during the African Cup of Nations? Clubs just have to get on with it during the mass exodus.

Dagenham have every right to ask for the game to be called off. It would on paper give us an unfair advantage and I don't want to win a game under those circumstances.
We only have one home game in November and that is on a Tuesday night. It is unfortunate that now there are no Saturday games in November, but it is no good moaning about it.
As Jim would say, it is what it is.

There isn't much we can do about a different continent holding a major tournament during the middle of our season.

Exactly. You just get on with it.
The Dagenham players are also getting called-up during the middle of our season. C'est la vie!
And if they were that good, then why are Daggers in the position that they're in?

Go and watch another game.
My son was going to watch a non-league Hampshire Cup game this afternoon. But it's just been rained off.
So he's sucking it and going to Fratton Park to watch Macclesfield stuff Pompey.

Call me an old fart but this is what I HATE about modern day football.

Never ever had matches called off for International call ups years ago.

It's a bloody joke.

FA should make Dagenham play some ressy's or the like. They've got a "squad", haven't they?

Poor. Very poor.

Not at all. Your reasoning is sound, so I think you're more of a 'A Young Cutie Patootie'. ;)

What a load of bollcks
They've essentially used a u21 player that doesn't feature at all in the first team to get this game called off. An out of form team that doesn't fancy it

Is it in the rules that the game has to be postponed, i.e. a certain number of first team players being called up, or was it simply a matter of our Board agreeing to their request? Given the lack of home Saturday games, it would have been better for MFC to politely decline if they had the option and to insist it went ahead.

This will cost MFC a lot of money. Not only will the stands be emptier on an evening, but the W&L won't have anywhere near as many hospitality/meal customers. There are already too few Saturday home games and too many Tuesday evening home games for the first half of this season. Very bad for MFC.

No home Saturday games between 24/10 to 12/12 - 6 Saturdays without a home game in the middle of the season :o

I was initially thinking it was a pain in the backside for us, but fair enough, we wouldn't want three first team players taking from us and still being told to play.

But then I read on their forum that only one of them is featuring in the first team at the moment? And many of their fans wish he wasn't anyway!

Be interesting to see which of the three are playing today.

And when a game is postponed it has to be replayed in a 4 week period!
A cold and wet December night will pull the punters :( in
