Apologies for what is probably one of several angry posts about to hit the board tonight and tomorrow.
But a big WELL DONE to everyone involved in tonight's spectacular cock up.
Not only have you managed to alienate and piss away a massive amount of good will from the surprisingly well attended match tonight in rubbish weather, you've royally cocked up your promotion next week - "come and see the team who threw away a 2-0 lead, whoopee".
Added to that, we've lost the prize money, tossed away a very winnable second round match that was going to feature heavily in a live BBC1 broadcast, we've chucked a chance of a massive pay day in the third round in the bin - most likely our best chance for years to come.
So well done everyone involved, you've really managed to do it this time.
Edited to add - no one expects to win every match. But performances of the degree of such ineptitude as shown tonight are unforgivable.

Agree totally.
This is nothing new, messing up an opportunity to progress in the F.A.Cup.
Lost revenue, a higher profile for the club. Disappointing doesn't scratch the surface of how I feel.
Why play with one up front at home in a cup tie where goals have to be scored to win?
Why not use all your subs? Why did Goodall not get on the pitch? Kenyon had a nightmare and did someone forget to tell the players it will be a little breezy tonight lads. What a joke.

And then after we've chucked a 2 goal lead away and are chasing the game....take off your most industrious midfielder...oh and our most creative player too!!! Pure kin genius

Very well said sir.
Am seriously pissed off tonight.
2-0 up and coasting and now, inexcusably, we're out of the FA Cup.
The FA CUP for fcuks sake.
Where was the fight? The passion? The WANT to win??
Not there. None of it. Disinterested on the whole from the team.
We've lost out on First Round Prize Money AND extended highlights money in the next round. At a time when the clubs finances needed most an input of that money. £35k was it??
Not happy. In fact, seriously effing hacked off.

Barkhuizen got it mate.
McGowan would have been my choice.

I thought McGowan had a bit of a mare at RB. Bazza for me (which says it all really).

We gave Barkhuizen a brief, polite ripple of applause, because I suppose they had to give it to someone, but I'm glad I didn't have to pick someone. I'd have chosen one from 11 Dagenham players ahead of a Morecambe player.

I did notice Barky looked pi$$3d off at the final whistle; took his shirt off an walked straight off the pitch.
At least it looks like he cares.

I was talking to a scout who came to watch mcgowan, he said he used to watch him last season , when he was a cub.

Not often I agree with all Mr Geeks extreme opinions, but tonight I do, it was there for everyone to see. I hope Dagenham beat Whitehawk and get a megabucks 3rd round tie against a big team owned by Shanghai owners.
At least it will save a lot of CO2 with the BBC and Whitehawk not having to travel so far

Whilst I respect your opinion I am growing increasingly sick of Baz's lack of commanding his area, shocking distribution and dithering at releasing the ball when starting a quick attack from the back. How many times does the ball get kicked straight into touch thus conceding possession. Good shot stopper at best.
On the topic how many occasional supporters who went on tonight will want to come back next Tuesday and endure the same even with the £3 promotion on?? Another own goal based on tonight's performance on what in my opinion is a good idea by the marketing department. The promotion by the way needs to be communicated at all the local primary/secondary schools to ensure enough potentially interested people know about it!

Your right it is but it's frustrating because we do care and we want the club to do well and this was a great opportunity to earn some additional funds with a nice run in the FA cup.

And never again will we have a better chance of reaching the 3rd Round.
Gutted. To the core.

Morecambeshrimp,
I accept all you say re Bazza and based on tonight would still have him as MOTM over the abject performances of the outfield players.
Its all opinion though and we all see what we see.
Tonight however we all saw how cr@p we were.

My 14 and 11 year old lads were with me tonight - fans now and of the future but what will they be telling their mates at school tomorrow about the match. It certainly won't be get yourself down next week to watch some great creative football and that is the problem for attracting additional support. That being said we will be there again.

We should have won comfortably. We had three or four good chances in the first half and should have been ahead at half time. Second half the wind really picked up and we were always on to a loser.
Having said all that at 2-0 up we should have stuck with one up front, tightened up at the back, sat much deeper and played on the counter. Basically shut up shop and use our best tactic away from home. We played so far up the pitch we left them acres of space for them to run into.
Inept when so much was at stake.

Once in Morecambes Globe arena
Led two nil then fucked it up
Mullered by the lowly Daggers
Now were out of FA cup.
