A number of championship n league one clubs interested and could bid in January
http://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2015/12/08/ch ... r-edwards/I heard scouts from Preston and Coventry have been watching on regular basis in the hospitality lounge at home the other week, maybe we're looking to sell in January before his contracts up this summer ? The team might not be playing well this season but we've certainly got a few players attracting interest at the minute.

even funnier, we can't sell anyone till january anyway, and he is contracted until at least 14th of may, 2 year deal was signed in may 2014.

Look at my post it says maybe we could sell in January it's not rocket science when the transfer window opens we all know nobody can be sold before it

It won't be much of a fee with him in the last 6 months of his contract

If we do sell them we won't see any of the money it will be put back to balance the books, then we will be worse off finding players suitable that have been released.

Can't imagine the fee to be a big one if he only has 6 months remaining on his contract in January, maybe £100k or lower ? Could we'll make way for Doyle's devolopment then too.

Sorry for the confusion
money in January is better than nothing in the summer tho I suppose or would be entitled to compensation because he's under the age of 24 ?

it will be just like another Mark Duffy scenario, where he'd 6 months left of his contract, and we had to accept just over a poxy £20.000
Duffy was worth a lot more, and as proved so since.

we wouldn't get much off a tribunal, as he's not ''home grown''.

Wasn't Duffy older than 24 though? He'd have gone for free at end of contract, Edwards won't.

why are we discussing how much we might or might not get, for someone who nobody has said is leaving, aren't we still getting 2 million quid for barky?

don't think so, sure we got him as a teenager?, and I figured he must have only been with us for 3 seasons? 4 at most.
one for marky No.1, to root out

Duffy was 25 when we sold him to Scunthorpe. 23 when we signed him from Southport.

we only paid 20 grand for him, and got 2 very good seasons out of him, excellent player, we got more than 20 grand for him too, it was undisclosed but i seem to remembef somebody moaning that southport and prescott cables both got a sell on fee.

Yes but he started as a left back and moved forwards.
Barky has always been an attacker and goalscorer

Barky has 18 months remaining on his contract so would probably cost a similar fee to redshaw if sold, with Edwards tho I'd imagine no1 would pay above £50k in January with him going into the final few months of his contract. The ball is in his court really tho he might want to ride it out till the summer were more clubs may be interested due to him being free and would probably be more beneficial to him on personal terms also. Can't see us being due much compensation as he's only been here less than 2 years now and a few months of that was part of his loan from Blackburn too.
