i know we've built up sand bags and that around that sub station in Lancaster, so should be alright for power in Morecambe and Lancaster.

sometimes they do turn the power off if certain areas if they are severely flooded, to stop damage to the lines and for safety reasons, it's dangerous live electric in water. I suspect Halton and the Lune valley will get it again.

I'm prepared anyway, gas fire and cooker, LED lights and a battery radio, or just head up to the pub the Duke of Rothesay it's powered by heysham harbour sub station.

We need a petition, to demand connection to a much more modern sub-station. Proposterous that we're (55k of us) connected to a sub-station from the 1950's, when we've got 2 nuclear stations, feed in from one of the largest off shore wind turbine farms in the universe, and now a massive solar panel array (check it out from the bypass!), all on our door step!
Where's Davey Morris now, EH?

it is being looked into, they only have to move it up from over the road from Kingsway baths to the bottom of the Ridge or Newton estate.

a stone throw away.

We'll have no stone throwing, thank you, Health & safety wouldn't allow it.
Anyway, why don't we build our own, I used to work at Currys, when it was in the Arndale Centre, and have several cards of fuse wire, some 13 amp plugs & a few yards of heavy duty flex left over, if anyone wants to incorporate them in the new facility.
Any budding electricians want to come onboard?
