Today's game being postponed certainly is a disgrace as it as resulted in two home games in a row being postponed and no home game for at least 6 weeks and at least it was postponed a lot earlier this time so the away fans didn't have a wasted journey.

Somerset , at the end of the day it's just a game !. Spare a thought for the people of the area flooded or about to be flooded !!

I realise that it's a matter outside the control of individual clubs, but who makes these decisions about when to postpone games due to waterlogged pitches?
The rain forecast for this week, and particularly the last 24 hours has been a nailed-on certainty. Ditto with the Exeter game.
While a game of football being postponed is insignificant compared to what those directly affected by the floods are concerned, it's still a bad effort by some decision maker in our great winter domestic game.

If that's an example of Somerset's first post on SV's then he / she is a disgrace themselves.
As for who makes the decision about when to postpone a game, I understand that it can't be done outside of 24 hours prior to the game unless for exceptional circumstances.
My main worry is the ongoing loss in revenue which was already at a critical level.
I for one will not be reclaiming the cost of the seat I purchased for my daughters boy friend in C Premier.

Your ticket will still be accepted for the re-arranged fixture
All the hospitality which was booked, have all been invited to attend and basically have a christmas party.
Boxing day will be enjoyed by everyone (unless your a United supporter) (come on Stoke)

Postponing no earlier than 1500 on the day before a 1500 kick-off seems fair to all concerned.
And the very real expectation of a
Red Weather Warning sounds like exceptional circumstances

I do but I rather the club didn't have two home games in a row postponed which I find a disgrace and I'm having doubts a home match will be played during January too.

Definition of disgrace is .....
the loss of reputation or respect as a result of dishonourable action. Who's done something dishonourable?
If you want a word beginning with 'd' try disappointment.
Welcome to SV's Somerset.

What exactly, do you think could/should have been done to get the game on? Blackburn & Blackpool were off too, was that a "disgrace"? Two games in a row postponed because it's been raining rather a lot

A tent be put over the pitch to stop it getting waterlogged, I've seen that done at other venues in the past

I agree. It's a disgrace when it rains incessantly on your wedding day, a disgrace when it snows and you're stuck on the motorway, a disgrace when it's so windy that you can't control your golf ball, a disgrace that your clothes get wet when you're walking in the rain. I agree. A disgrace.
