Stanley to lose two star players? O/T

Rangers are after Crooks and Windass. As a Rangers fan this is a sign of the harsh reality of the demise of the club. However as a Morecambe fan it would be brilliant if they were to lose two of their best players. If they leave in this windows then it would certainly damage their promotion prospects.

They will get a shed load of cash, thats nailed on, because of the ages of the players, things seem to get better and better for them lately.

This is a double blow to Stanley. If they lose them this window then there promotion chase will be as good as over. But if they lose them in the summer, they won't get a penny for either of them as their out of contract and under the Bosman rules they wouldn't even get compensation if they sign for rangers as its classes as going to a foreign country even when signing for someone in Scotland.

It doesn't matter how much money they have, nobody wants to play for Stanley, they are merely a stepping stone. As we have found out in the past when targeting highly rated players they usually end up at bigger clubs than ourselves. Money isn't everything, they will struggle to replace those two regardless of the money they receive.

They don't get a bean if they go to Rangers in the Summer.

That's why they are touting them around hoping an English team(s) signs them in January and then they will be entitled to something.

Spot on GS, they'll be hoping championship clubs come n watch this month n pay a small fee rather than lose them to rangers in the summer for nothing.

Indeed. As I understand it on listening to bits on Radio Lancashire, I get the impression Josh Windass' agent is his father, ex Hull City player Dean, who has been trying to engineer a move away for young Joshua.

Weren't Arsenal said to be interested at one time recently too?

Most lower league players want to progress to play up the pyramid one day, we are no different to Accrington or any other lower league club. I wouldn't be surprised they sell Windass for a decent price, and Coleman manages to bag another gem from somewhere. At the moment Coleman has got them playing decent football, only losing once since the 20th October. I am sure, if we were on good form, we would have many clubs knocking on the door for some of our star players.

Accy will need to have offered them a mega deal
http://sport.stv.tv/football/clubs/rang ... h-rangers/

They will probably receive about £50K for the pair

Good luck to both of 'em IF the deals go through. Will be interesting to see the actual final figures involved but doubt it'll be any where near the valuation put on them by Coley.

Still feel that we got a bum deal from Blackpool for Jack.....

They won't get compensation if they sign for rangers in the summer. It's classed as a different country going there so they wouldn't be entitled to any. Two good signings for them tho and I'm glad to see the back of them, crooks was superb at the globe at the start of the season I still don't know how we managed to win that game !

According to the Daily Record:-
"The Accrington pair have signed 4 year contracts in a joint deal for £400,000, but will stay at Accrington until summer 2016."

Stanley's chairman has been on sky sports news today moaning about losing the two of them and not getting a penny for either due to Fifa rulings as Scotland is classed a foreign country

Absolute kick in the balls to lose two players of that calibre for nothing, we have a lot of players out of contract this summer hope the same thing doesn't happen to us.

Well Kendalshrimp, I don't know why you are being so wanky and gleeful at the prospect of them getting any money, but you are wrong, unless you know more than fifa, the bbc and sky, they also have retained the ervices of the players till the end of the season.

I didn't say they never retained there services till the end of the season. A couple of days ago there was reports they might join in January for a small fee but they haven't and they'll be leaving for free at the end of the season and tbh MPH I find this funny as there our rivals and it would of only made them stronger and easier to attract players than us if they got what they was worth, I couldn't give a toss if Stanley got all the bad luck in the world !

MPH listen...i haven't hurt anyone and I'm not meaning too either, I'm just saying what any other fans would say and feel if it was their rival clubs who this had just happen too. I know our club has an image of a family image n not being nasty but this is just banter and nothing more, I'm sure accy will survive if your too worried

Coley was on Radio Lancs tonight absolutely fuming about the Tweets these two wallopers had put out after signing for Rangers.

"Absolutely disrespectful" - bemoaned Coley.

And here are the tweets:

Not sure how these tweets can be classed as disrespectful. It's not every day you sign for the world's most successful club, they are understandably delighted.

Coley made reference to their use of the words "Huge", "Massive" and "Ambitious" in referring to their new clubs.

Which Rangers are of course, but he felt it was putting down Stanley as none of the above.

Disrepectful is the most overused word in the football lexicon.

When did players, fans and managers get such thin skins. Arseholes, the whole bloody lot of them.

Have fun playing in the first round of the UEFA cup lads!
