"Fans" behind the goal.

First half against the wind in awful conditions, we were asleep for their soft goal (see Beeley) then hit the bar, created some half chances and overall played ok given the conditions.
So at H/T the "fans" behind the goal boo the team off.
Second half, Morecambe 'till I die, stand up if you love Morecambe, good support. Then boo again at F/T.
Fickle or just half wits?

Halfwits.
But actually we only played well for about 10 minutes, the rest of it was shite (Millers goal, out of nowhere, aside).
The atmosphere was generally very good and supportive today, compared to most games this season. The performance wasn't worthy of it.

Lots of Motherwell fans in today. Hence the better atmosphere.

You mean like 'we're fucking shit'?
I genuinely thought we played well today, aside from two very soft goals conceded and a catalogue of missed chances. Despite letting in two, Newports only shots the whole game, we could still won at a canter if we had our shooting boots on.
We should play the same team vs Pompey, unless McGowan is fit then it's a swap for the Beeley who hasn't hits last seasons heights and I suspect is playing through injuries.

I said generally, not constantly.
That song happened a couple of times by a few at the back, but generally there was positive chanting for most of the game which has been lacking recently.
Still disagree that we played well, bar the short spell where we hit the bar a couple of times and should have scored through Barkhuizen. Didn't threaten all second half, even after Miller's goal.

Kev missed two sitters in the second half where he blazed both chances past the right hand post? You've got to be hitting the target from there. Devitt also narrowly wide from distance.
First half Barky is through on goal 1 v 1 and should score, chances with the follow up. We've hit the bar twice.
My main annoyance throughout the 90 was watching Fleming persisting to put each pass in the air throughout hurricane conditions.... Even when it was possible to play along the deck... This guy is brainless.

What do you expect? You just have to look at some of our fans to realise they are morons.

Heard that the 10 or so 'Well fans that improved the atmosphere on (not big numbers, but they made noise) were annoyed at having beer confiscated at HT because they'd all got in for juniors.
Obviously I don't agree with people deliberately paying the wrong price, but u think its a bit rich certain stewards taking umbrage with this when I've witnessed a few of them letting family members in for free.

totally agree.
could have dealt with that better.
I would have joked with them, and said, I did the same when I was your age, but now you've been caught out, next time you will have to pay like other fans, its only right.

So a group of fans from another club have travelled all the way from Motherwell to support our club for the day and they get kicked out because they conned the club out of a few quid. I'm not condoning the actions of these lads because we had fans thrown out at Carlisle for the same offence but you would expect common sense to prevail. The stewards aren't proving popular this season. There's a reason why the atmospheres poor and it's not solely due to what happens on the field. Maybe I'm being paranoid or just venting my frustrations in the wrong direction but does anyone find the pair of Billy big bollocks stewards who stand at the centre of the Omega with their smug expressions deeply irritating.

They could and should have turned a blind eye to it, they only come down once or twice a season anyway though after today they probably won't be back.

I think some stewards on north terrace are letting family members in for free by opening the large exit doors!

Anyone not happy about this, if its happening, should complain directly to the club, with pictures?

Happens every home game. Not sure if it is a fans job to be taking pictures. Do the club not have lots of cctv and employ chief stewards?. Just changing the stewards round might stop them from letting their family in for free!

not saying it doesn't happen.
but sometimes you do get scenarios where people are meeting friends and family, and one group goes into another end of the ground by mistake, so you do get stewards repatriating groups in some circumstances.
not everybody has sussed out mobile phones

Kev also skyed one over the bay radio from close range and hit a soft free kick straight to the keeper. Barky hit one straight at the keeper, and there was another near miss from distance on the left (thought that was also Devitt). Loads of chances and we could've won by a hatful. Having asked for months for Jim to go out to win, I'm not going to complain about the tactics, I just want the shooting and defending, including marking, sorting out.
