by our fans was not only embarrassing but a concern aswell, we must have only had 800 at most?

i can understand some people not bothering when the weather is bad, but it was a decent day for this time of year.

might be a sign of things to come next season when our hardcore drops to 800 like some predict.

Attendance 3070. Between 1400-1500 from Carlisle. You do the maths...

No you were not HTR, you had your numbers a bit confused so your bit ''petered'' out a bit , its not 1000 any way ,we have lost a fair few, but nowhere near a thousand, I agreed with the point, but you have to have the maths accurate if you are arguing about numbers.

One of our better turn-outs today. That's why we didn't win.

our hardcore was 1800 when we first moved to the Globe, so its about 800 this season and potentially 1000 next season.

Today's home attendance was better than normal.

With regards to the fans forum, I didn't think we had lost 1,000 but also thought Peter's figures didn't quite sound right either when it was pretty obvious we had lost a significant amount of the home support over recent years. The following, subject to my internet sources being accurate, are the average attendances up to and including today's game:

Average Morecambe FC Home Attendance
2015-16 1,576
2014-15 1,998 Average under Jim up to 14/15 2,007
2013-14 1,936
2012-13 1,954
2011-12 2,141
2010-11 2,648
2009-10 2,262
2008-09 2,153
2007-08 2,811 Average McIlroy Era in Football League 2,469
2006-07 1,598
2005-06 1,780
2004-05 1,567
2003-04 1,780 Average last 4 years of Conference 1,681

Yes but as there are so few "Northern" teams in the League 2 we were always going to find it hard to average 2,000. Also how many Tuesday night games have there been this season compared with previous seasons ?

so we are, averaging around 178 less per match this season than we were doing 10 years ago, ''hardcore'', ''floater'' or whatever, I supect that at the end of this season our average for 2015/16, will be around 1650, not 800!

About 1,600 home supporters, now compare that with Accy who are in fourth position with a good chance of a automatic promotion place yet their crowd today was a total of 1,416 which includes the away support now if that was us in their position then we would all be complaining.

I would also add that in my opinion carlisles official figure is probably low, as there were a fair few of them in our home areas.

maybe it it me? i would say today

C section = 200
D section = 200
E section = 150
Omega = 300
Berlin Wall = 200

total = 1050

sure somebody said before that season ticket holders are included, and a lot have stopped coming. aswell as Away fans in our ends today. would add up.

I would like to say that the Census of 2011 had lost 3-4 thousand people in Morecambe alone and one thing for an answer that i am still a strong supporter of the club i'am away from home at university and also i have a player subscription but when its Easter and the festive period i go to the games despite if its freezing or raining. that sorta turned into a rant sorry :D

Average home crowds are not helped when you have got fixtures like Exeter, Cambridge, Mansfield, Dagenham and Crawley on a Tuesday night

How away fans travelled to these games added together - Bet less than 500

More than 300 in the omega george it was only about 1 third full but it holds how many? 2000?, i'd say there were 550 or so in there, there were 170 in hospitality which was a good effort.

Depends which way you look at it I guess. Dagenham for instance might bring 20 on a Tuesday and 100 on a Saturday but would we swap it for Carlisle who brought 1,450 today but might only bring, say, 800 on a Tuesday night? Just playing devils advocate.

Don't you sit in the PMG? Pretty impossible to tell the crowd from that side really. From the left corner of the Omega I'd say roughly:

Bay Radio - 850
Away seats - 600
C section - 400
D&E - 400
Omega - 600
Berlin Wall - 200

Take out the first year in the league and the first year at the Globe and we have averaged 2074 per season in L2. Minus away fans and its about 1700. Yes we have lost fans this season but I think its 300-400 at the most, not 1000 like some have suggested. Still for a club our size this is more than worrying and MFC should be doing all they can to win them back.
