AGM

The forthcoming AGM could be quite interesting because the timing of it may confirm who the new owner(s) is /are. If it's an existing major shareholder and former Director then I for one would be delighted especially if he intends to give Rod Taylor a more influential role, possible General Manager..... :?: :?: :?:

I think the timing of the announcement is no coincidence in view of the impending AGM.

Pure speculation on my part of course, but the ideal partnership in my eyes.

Has Rod got the time to be as hands on as your suggesting I'm not sure if he has, like a lot of people he has found other stuff do recently, I would think the Morecambe Hotel is keeping him very busy.

Not saying it wouldn't be great to have him back but I couldn't see him been the general manager type role.

What type of financial backing do we think people need to have would Graham be a big enough fish or do we think we need someone with even more resources. I know he sold the caravan park for a good sum but is that all his or did he have to share it with partners etc.

it's actually quite sad that in todays football you need a multimillionaire just to be able to run a club our size, what happened to the days of the local businessmen running he club I think in todays game those days are long gone.

Just asking - I haven't seen an announcement (which doesn't mean there hasn't been one), so is the date of the MFC shareholders AGM actually fixed and announced ? There is usually a notice on the web site, and I ain't seen one. If there has been one when is the AGM ?

I know that an AGM would be about due, and I (as one shareholder) would be interested in getting a set of accounts ( though realising that they would be for the period ending around a year ago, they still tell us somethings of interest).

And true, questions asked at the AGM do (sometimes) indicate current thinking.

The AGM last year Mike was around May time if I remember rightly??

They normally advise us by post (and also on the OWS) of the date and time etc, but last year's meeting notification which was sent to us by post asked us to register an email address for the future sending of notifications.

I submitted my email address but (true to form) I didn't get an acknowledgement of, so I hope it was received ok.

I somehow feel that between us somebody will know the actual day and will then inform the other one or two interested parties

Bit more than a caravan park, Phil - more like 8 or 9.
Rod is now busy with another care home amongst other things
