hmmm we already have forwards who can score goals.
it must be more of a trial type loan signing, to potentially replace one of the out of contract forwards this summer.

He's got a good shot on him but he's lazy, according to a Tranmere fan friend of mine. Doesn't even get on their bench.

Having read some comments about him.. on the Tranmere forum, his loan signing doesn't exactly thrill me.
If he's here as a potential replacement for one of our outgoing forwards then......

He can't get in the Tranmere team yet the distinctivly average Jordan Burrow has 13 goals in the same division.

Maybe its an indication that the sale of the club is imminent.
With Dugdale out and Parrish and Doyle doubtful for Saturday maybe a defender would have been on the agenda

Why don't we let Jim & the club get on with what they have to do. Judge this lad come the end of 28 days. He may turn out like Dugdale and may not, but to judge him before he has put on a jersey for us is silly.

Scored two against us, so he's capable of something!

Their fans aren't idiots. He's not been great for them. Plus, when was the last time Jim improved a player? Unfortunately, if you pay peanuts you're going to get monkeys and we only have peanuts to offer.

Devitt and Wildig were originally signed on loan then signed permanently after being released by their parent clubs. Both should go on to play at a higher level. Accy are a fine example that success isn't reliant on money.

I never said it was, nor did I question signing people on loan before permanently. If you have the right training and tactics, you can make a silk purse from the proverbial sow's ear. Accy have that. We haven't got that, our players don't improve much with the exception of centre backs so we have to sign decent players who were unloved at their previous clubs and thus available at a reasonable price. Stockton is not a decent player by all accounts and the club he's unloved at play at a lower level than us. Forgive me for not being optimistic. I also saw him score against us at Prenton Park and at half time I thought he would be hauled off he was so ineffective.
Devitt and Wildig are decent for us, but probably won't be troubling a higher level. Wildig isn't even a regular here, and much as I like Devitt and he's undoubtedly our most creative player, he's made of twigs.
